Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

I can't stand truck nutz, very classy there buddy! Usually has a Tapout sticker somewhere on the truck too.

^^ I always see a red Silverado with those things, guy drives like a deuche.

i know what you guys mean, so. cal is bro central and if they don't have a tapout sticker, then there's probably a lame famous sticker... :nomore:

I agree with most everything on here. Living in south Florida, one other thing is when it's raining hard and people on the highway drive with their hazards on. If you're not comfortable driving in the rain then pull over to the side of the road.

Perhaps they do it just for visibility?

But it's illegal and annoying because they should be reserved for actual emergencies for vehicles pulled over, being towed, or something actually wrong.

Not while driving, but something that bothers me is when people pull up at gas stations and go to the pump on the wrong side and drag the hose over their car to their gas tank...

My point exactly.

I am an insulting ( I give people the you are number one award quite frequently)
and assaulting (I have actually punted a car off the road that pissed me off) driver.

When I was much younger I had a gigantic Ford Wagon with a built 460 AND a two plate nitrous system on it. Lowered, huge brakes, enormous wheels and Goodyear racing rubber.

And I actually got right up on a Corvette's bumper and hit the nitrous. Pushed him off the road into a big (but nearly empty) equipment storage turnout on Hwy 1 before Big Sur. He had been passing me, getting half a mile ahead, then slowing down to 45. This had been going on for about 60 miles. After the last time i had just had it. So instead of passing him again I just knocked him off the road. last i saw of him he was sliding off into the dirt area, doing huge 360's

^^Where do you live? I'd like to stay away from you :)

Yeah I agree, that's just simple road rage! Why didn't he just get a long stretch w/ noone around and get one run in (not condoning street racing but it would,ve been better in this case)

As far as driving with the hazards on when its REALLY REALLY coming down, well, I don't have a problem with that at all. In those conditions its all about visability and safety. I'll take it a bit further too, if your not comfortable in those conditions, put your flashers on and pull over on the side of the road, maybe find an overpass to park under. This does many things, one it takes an uncomfortable driver off of the road, two it opens up the road for other drivers, three it let's said driver "get themselves together", thus making the situation better for all out there. Its too bad all cars don't have rear foglights, they really work in bad conditions for sure, the ones on my old 07' MINI had a pair of them and they were VERY bright! In closing really, really bad downpours probably bring out the same "inner a$$hole" in SUV/pickup truck drivers like it does here in the midwest when it snows...."yeah I can drive through this, I've got 4wd!", problem is, when you've got a sudden downpour, the standing water rears its ugly head and the said vehicle can hydroplane and at that point it doesn't matter what wheel drive you have, your going to lose control and wreck, possibly hurt yourself and/or someone else out there!

Common sense is NOT so common!

^^ That's true, i have put my hazards on for visibility back when Chicago got the huge snow storm 2 years ago now i believe? Maybe 3 now.. I was coming back from work at 9pm in a G35 coupe, i kept getting snow stuck under my car which would slow it down significantly and for a long time i had a pick up right on my butt with his headlights right in my mirror... i was on the very right lane going 30mph, which was about what others were driving due to the high wind, no visibility, thunder/lighting and snow.. really weird weather!

As to driving with hazard lights 'on.'

Yes! Pulling a load over the 'passes', hugging the fog line doing about 25MPH....my flashers are ON. It is a courtesy if nothing else to those coming up behind me (us).

Good for you, oldmodman! :props:
He's lucky he only got punted.

This, no doubt, was way before the term "road rage" was invented as a
cover-up for that type of numbskull wanting to be a control freak
due to his brain being affected by some "chemical" imbalance.

I just laughed out loud at Oldmodman's post.
I think we've all wanted to do that at one point.
You are living the dream :xyxthumbs:

That snow storm you speak of was Feb 2nd, 2011, all 2' of it! I was leaving work in Bolingbrook and heading back to where I stayed at the time, which was Tinley Park. That commute normally took me about 45 minutes but on that day add an hour and I was lucky as I left work at about 5 p.m., about 4 hrs into the blizzard. So I'm driving through Homer Glen (a 2 lane country road for you out of towners) and couldn't see a damn thing for most of the trip, just used oncoming headlights as a point of reference and the occasional part of the road I could actually see. At the time I had a 2010 Honda Fit w/ brand new Conti DWS' and they got me home in one piece but I've gotta say, I was white knuckling it the whole way and I drive for a living. That storm was the worst driving weather I've ever experienced in my life, I'll never forget it! Oh yeah, for the record, I had my flashers on too!

Yep February 2nd!!! My g35's rear wheels didnt make it up to my driveway (slight bump) and after 30 minutes of shoveling under and around it i said F*** it and left the car there. The next day, you can barely see my dads SUV but my g35 was completely covered..as in you couldn't even tell that a car is there!!! it was sick!

I have some more to add.

1. People in the left lane who hang out in your blind spot because all of the sudden they don't feel like passing you.

2. The second you put on your signal to move to the left lane, the car behind you in the left lane that isn't actually passing you suddenly floors it.

3. When people pull out into traffic when there is no room and end up blocking other lanes. This happened to me today. The car was in both left lanes of both directions of traffic. I gave her a nice little scare before moving over. Basically, I hate people who are in a hurry to go nowhere. Just wait your turn.
