Hello folks !
I have a 2016 Ram 1500 in maximum steel metallic and have kept it in immaculate condition. Only ever used high end products on and in the truck.
Yesterday after washing and drying my truck I was having a cold beer and noticed a spot on the hood. Looked like dirt got missed. Upon further inspection I noticed it was in the clear coat. Will not come off and feel dry under the drying cloth. Just now I gave a quick wipe down with mothers quick wax and didn't do anything.
I have never parked under a tree. Never had bird droppings sit on the paint. Never used harsh chems inside or out.
Could this be a paint defect ? Should I even bother bringing up to the dealer? Or should I try some wax and grease remover? I'm scared to use it in case the clear coat is compromised and messes up the paint.
Best way to describe it is from a distance (10 feet) looks like I forgot a small patch of hazy wax. It's about 2"x2" in size.
Thanks !
