Drying MF towels your thoughts??

Feed back pleaseI wash my 2 cars once a week and use ONR or WW depending on how much dirt is on the car. The questions I have is what do you do when you go through 15 to 20 MF towels and they are all wet? I hang mine up to dry but is it ok to just put them in a bucket wet? I have only so much room to hang towels in the garge. I put them in 5 gallon buckets after they dry to take up to the laundry room to clean. I have over 200 MF towels and just dont have any type of rack to hang them in to dry. Any advise or just let me know what you do in this case as well.

I put mine in a mesh laundry bag and hang that in the garage until I have enough to run a load in the wash. They are still damp, but dry better than in a bucket.

I use a retractable clothes line in the garage. Around $10 at discount stores.
 
Mine have always gone in the dryer. Never a single problem for many many years.
 
I also use a mesh bag, but still won't put them in totally wet. After a wash, I rinse the towels and then squeeze as much water as possible out. Then I hang them or spread them out on wire shelving to dry.
One thing I did discover is that you can hook hangers on the outside of your garage door track without it interfering with operation. Then you could use regular hangers or even one of those hanging racks with built in clips. Obviously you don't want a ton of weight hanging, but I can't imagine a couple dozen MFs hurting anything.
 
Mine go straight into the wash/dryer. I always thought of gluing up a strip of velcro on the wall then just sticking the MF to it to dry. Eventually this will wear the MF down, but if you just do the corners you can hang lots in small spaces. Just an idea. I also imagine leaving your wash MF's wet after the wash, and use them moist instead of dry.
 
I put my towels into a bucket with water and microfiber detergent to pre soak when I finish with the towel. That way if I have heavy soiling in any towel it will soak and not set a stain in the towel. The only exception is wheel towels and towels I use for applying polymers which repel water. These are placed in boxes until I wash then all in separate loads as not to contaminate my good towels. I also wash one color at a time.

Wheel towels - Orange
Interior towels - yellow
Paint towels - Green rolled edge
Engine compartment - Terrycloth towels (also use for cleaning my DA pad on the fly).

Easy to keep straight and not cross use a towel.

Great idea, I've been using a 4' high shoe rack that my wife broke, same idea as the drying rack.

I'm just a small timer, so I don't have enough towels to set aside until I have a full load. This may be a bannable offense on this forum, but I wash all of my microfiber towels together. Yep, rinseless MF towels, drying MF towels, polishing MF towels, wax MF towels, sealant MF towels, glass cleaning MF towels; they all go into the wash, together. I do separately wash wheel and door jamb towels, separately. I spent a whole lot of money on the washer/dryer combo that I have, so I trust that they won't cross-contaminate anything and will do what they're made to do; clean!
 
Hey thanks alot for all the info guys. I think I might try and run a line somewhere in the garage to dry rill I get a full load. thanks alot

A shoe rack as a drying rack. Never thought about that. Pretty good idea!

I do pretty much the same thing. Small timer as well. Only difference are the really grungy towels which get a thorough hand washing first THEN placed together with the other towels.
