Best simple drying technique for production detailing

Sent from my LGL35G using AG Online

220mph leaf blower. Microfibers to get what little is left.

if you do tons a cars a day, a master blaster would be a good choice. if not.. sheeting as much water as possible off, then a leaf blower followed by a microfiber towel/QD to get the remaing droplets...

I just use Aquawax with the cobra waffle weaves... Seems to not scratch much at all. This is for my personal cars

Pooling rinse technique. Take off the hose attachment and just let the water run over the car and it should all pool off.

The sheeting method is the first step to a drying process but to remove water from cracks/crevices you need forced air. The Master Blaster provides precise drying...a leaf blower is less precise. These are all work best when the protection is still potent so water comes off easily.

Push it out in the sun, hand the driver the keys, and say "have a nice day".

On the serious side, 16x24 300gsm~350gsm waffle weave towels, a LOT OF THEM. Use some sort of drying aide to prevent streaking. Megs 156, DG951, or most likely any other spray wax. That way you're selling a true wash and wax. ;)

You need an air-dryer with a wall-mounted hose attachment...
like the one I use at the local DIY:
The "air-shammee" as it's fondly called. Great "drying-aid".

Gotta get one of these for the garage before next Winter!!

Yep, Bob those things are great... Until you have to dry the opposite side of the car the hose leads from and your trying to prevent that thing from touching your car.

Or, as in my case, all the "former users" of said air shammee have RAN OVER and busted the nozzle so it blows air all over the place.

Your right, about the idjits that run over the hoses.
Their motto must be:
"If it ain't yours...Break it"!!

Air blowers will not save you time if time is your concern and they will turn the electric meter over quite impressively. For speed and profit keep it simple and use a good waffle weave towel with D156 or Aquawax.
