Drying towels

Everest 1100. I have some PFM towels and they are excellent. I like the smaller size of the Everest and it seems like they hold more water per towel area.

PFM all the way.

Other towels have been mentioned above by highly-respected members, and I do not doubt them at all.

But since the PFM is a Griot's product, if there were ever a problem with the towel (manufacturing defect, not user error), I have no doubt that Griot's would stand behind it 100% as they do with all of their offerings.

:)

PFM’s are good and I have many of them, but I prefer these two a bit more:

1. TRC The Gauntlet
2. Luxury Microfiber/DPC Sucker Jr.

All work well and there are many options. PFM’s snag a little too easy on emblems and trim molding for my taste which would be my only complaint.

^^^ just goes to show peoples preferences. I have approx 15 gauntlets and it is a great towel, but for me it performs better with “blot” drying. It doesn’t drag across the paint smoothly for me unless I prep it with a drying aid. We all have our preferences.

Scooby doo beach towel. My ultra rare 1980’s Go Bots one was probably the best ever.

Like everyone has mentioned for drying their favorites. I like TRC PLATINUM PLUFFLE 16x24.
My choices like polish removal, waterless washes, etc we all have favorites. The Pluffles work for me.

I found the Absorber to be among the worst drying towels I've used and the PFM to be the best. I guess YMMV

Both the absorber and water sprite have to be broken in to work good. My absorber out of the container was crap , but after 8 0r 9 uses it worked great . AT work we used the water sprite, we used often and they were broke in in a couple days.

Funny the don’t dry for me to well unless using a drying aid…. Then the soak up the water big time.

I like the Gauntlet drying towels from The Rag Company and the Glacier 1100 drying towels from McKee’s 37. I just ordered a Griot’s Garage PFM drying towel during the Cyber Monday sale, so will be curious to try that out.

O !!!!!!!! no I started this post with the hope of saving
a little money. Now, I feel like I must try all of the suggested
towels. Welcome to the world of detailing. More than one way
to dry a car. And they are all right. Thanks, I think?

No really, thanks
Jim

Nope.

Just get the PFM's and be done with it, Jim. :)

Paul, maybe I should quit while I'm ahead.

I have a bunch of the McKee Glacier 1100 and a bunch of the Griot's PFM, both in 16"x16" format. I find the PFM works just slightly better. I prefer the edgeless format of the Glacier vs the satin-edged PFM. But I really don't like that the Glacier has a blue side and a gray side that look exactly like my Cobra Buff & Shine rinseless towels. Didn't think that one through well enough. :) But you really can't go wrong with either towel.

I’m about to order a couple of drying towels. Trying to decide between 2 medium Guantlets or 1 med Guantlet and 1 med. Notorious Dry Towel

I, too, prefer the edgeless towels. Maybe Griot's will
make their PFM edgeless some day.

Those towels are outstanding. Just as good as the PFM. I already have a large 1 of them. They’re currently on sale on Autopia + 25% off.
