Wow. The finished car looks great! What did you use to polish (PC, Flex, etc.) before you started with the rotary?

Very good job there, you should be damned proud for the 1st time with a rotary..good for you!!

Great job! How do you like ClearSeal? I see no streaks...Optimum Opti-Seal slightly streaks on blacks...

I didnt use Z-CS on the paint, just the wheels and often on windows. Its not a streaky product, I have used it on black with no problems.

Looks great!

How did you like the Makita compared to (whatever you used before)? I'm so close to picking up a Makita I can smell it. I'd like to hear about your experience.

Ya, I echo that sentiment. Also, for your "FIRST" time with a rotary, you certainly demonstrated it's not your first time doing a superb detailing job!

Beautiful job bringing that rather sad looking black paint back to life. Looks like you've got the rotary down to a science.

I think its a great machine. The second I picked it up I felt how well built it was, which is important to me . I used and still use the Flex 3401 RO and I find that it still a good machine that the Makita is tops. The power and correction ability is so much greater and I find polish breakdown goes quicker and more fluidly. Just let the machine do the work and let it glide:D I like having both now, I use the Flex for lower panels sometimes because its a bit smaller and lighter. I like it for applying EZ and RMG as well.

I spent a lot of time reading and learning about proper rotary technique(the Dave KG rotary guide was a huge help), I still am learning but no amount of reading can replace practicing with the actual rotary, IMO its not as intimidating as it seems just be careful and take it slow. I got some spare panels the night before and spent a little time working different polishes and pads before I did the Audi to make sure I knew what I was doing but I didnt really see how the correction was until I worked the Audi the next day. Thanks for the compliments guys.:D
