Dui - North Carolina Style

That was really funny, but DUI's are not a laughing matter!

I think the story is a funny. But, The whole time I was reading it I was wondering about the possibility of someone who was obviously impaired, but maybe not as impaired as this person
might have been getting in his car and later having a serious accident. This person might have been charged with a serious crime had that happened.

Yes, well if they did drink and drive, they should be charged with a serious crime!!

It's just not on.

Strange this joke could come about, because in the last two nights on my way in and out of the CBD (going in to study with friends, luckily not going in to party) I have come across a Breathalyzer checkpoint each time. One was near my house, the other near the city. Of course each time the machine said "no alcohol"

I was saying that the non-drinking designated decoy could have been charged had a person not so obviously impaired had gotten away because of the decoy. Yes, DUI is a serious crime, but involuntary manslaughter is much more serious.
I do not advocate drinking and driving. I also do not advocate
drawing attention of law enforcement so that impaired people can get away. :xyxthumbs:
