Duped by local "detailer", now need to make it right

I made the mistake of using mf towels I bought from Costco on my paint.. and its induced minor swirls back into the paint..

I use a MF Waffle weave towel and im happy with it

My suggestion for your DIY to get you started.

Polishing:

Either a PC or a Griot's 6" both are good

Megs 5" backing plate
Megs DA MF cutting pads
Megs D300 correction compound 16 oz.
Megs M105 8oz bottle (starter)
Megs M205 8oz bottle (starter)
Menz PO106 or PO85 (PO106 is same as PO85 w/more powder)
Lake Country 5 1/2 Inch Flat Pads 6 Pack
2) Orange 2) White 1) Black 1) Blue

10-14 hours to polish paint to perfection.

Last Step Product:

For your LSP do you want to use a wax or sealant?

Collinite #845 (wax)
Zaino Z-2 (sealant)

Both about $15

Yes there are MANY MANY other LSP's!

Merlin is a good guy and put together, along with others I'm sure, a great list to get you started...Good luck! Be sure to post some follow up pictures.

(Yes, they are three different types)

After washing be sure to take some before pics in the sun.
This will show the paint state before & after the correction
Also take some after pics and post 'em to share your results.

Your finished results should look something like this.

Have fun and Enjoy! It is a wonderful feeling when done to step back and look at your work.

After the correction there is another short list for maintenance...but that's another thread.

Thanks again.
You guys are far more knowledgeable than I am, please don't take this as an argument at all. Mainly because the LC flat pads aren't available in 4" and I'm anal retentive like that (I want all my pads to match), do you think that 2 of each of the LC hydro tech pads are as good (or better) as the LC flats?
