Dura Gloss #265 tire shine.....applied and reviewed!

Today I swiped the tire and its between matte and shiney, sorry I'm mobile right now and can't post pics (sitting at Discount Tire with a flat on my work van) Nothing like catching up on AG stuff while on the clock;-)

Well here it is a day after the weekend where the car sat all weekend and I ONR'd the car this morning and yes, used my mf cleaning glove on the tires sidewall and here's what it looks like after the re-apply and 2 cleanings and 1 swipe of the applicator:

Once I drive the car in the rain and I ONR the car and clean the tires and wheels I will post those pics as well, so until then, this is what we've got so far.

It has rained today but the road was pretty dry coming to work, so we'll have to see if it rains during the day and roads wet. Never have I wanted rain until now that I'm trying to see how it holds up while driving in the rain, stay tuned!

....and people think us detailers are weird....go figure...

if you're closer you can have my bottle for free :D

i love the shine, but hate the foam as it flies everywhere even inside a garage and even if you wipe it down around the wheels - it attracts brake dust like a magnet.

Just from my user experience of 2 months with it, I went back to Zaino tire to manually apply it instead.:xyxthumbs:

Hey ArmoredSaint, don't think we're talking about the same product, the #265 is a clear spray that smells like melons. I agree about foam, it can be messy for sure and as far as foam goes, well its got one good use.....when cleaning the engine bay, spray everything down real good with it, shut the hood and wash the car right away and when your done doing that, open the hood and BAM.....everything looks good!

Duragloss 253 tire dressing is pretty good too.

If that's the matte tire dressing I'll end up getting that stuff too, gotta try it, DG has been on a roll for me lately!

Well it didn't rain afterwards yesterday but I did have to check into a quarter carwash after work last night, I had a DOZEN bird sheeeet droppings on the hood, 2 on the fender, 4 on the windshield and 1 on the roof, I got BOMBED! While I was rinsing the car off, I sprayed the soap onto the tires/wheels too, then the wax cycle and finally the spot free rinse and drove the car home. This morning I ONR'd the car and cleaned the tires/wheels too and guess what..........they look exactly like the previous pic I posted a couple posts back, so no actual rain test yet but the shine that's between matte and gloss is still there, awesome product! I will say that I had a good base of BF total eclipse tire gel laid down on the tires well before trying the #265 DG tire shine but I do like this product. I guess when it rains we'll see how it does, stay tuned!

Well I'm at a show right now and its raining pretty hard right now so the real test will happen but here's a pic of how the tires look a week later and having been ONR'd 3x's and driving on a rain soaked road.

Here's the final pic....after driving in a good, steady rain and going through a good touch-free wash (gotta get ALL that crap out of everywhere!)

I know, I know, looks like the other pics but inperson its now pretty much a matte look but keep in mind the 3 ONR-ings where I take my mf glove and rub right into the sidewall, driving in the rain and a couple "evening the look out" twice and the above mentioned touch-free carwashing too.

Having said this, today at work I applied a fresh coat of #265, love the look and how it really does look after washes and time!

Opps, not sure where the pic went but the tire looks lime the one 2 posts back. The best test bed is going to be winter time, a whole new battery of tests which include snow, slush and salt and periods of no washing, no hurry for that test!
