Durability Test - CarPro Reload 2014 and C.A.R. Products Bullet Proof Coating

The roof and trunk lid both failed after I lightly clayed the areas with a Nanoskin Fine Mitt. The hood, which was not clayed, is still going strong.

Wait a minute, the bulletproof is not Nanoskin-proof? I'm not sure what to make of this, are you saying that you got some contamination on the roof and trunk which you felt had to be removed, and the coating went with it? But the hood did not require claying so you left that alone?

The hood required claying as well but I left it alone after seeing what happened with the roof and trunklid. There was just a light layer of contamination - and that was what prompted the claying.

OC 2.0 survived 4-5 sessions of the same mitt with no problems. UK survived one session with normal Meguiars C2000 just fine. So I dunno...

Reload was still present after about 2 months. But do note that Reload goes from beading to sheeting after a few washes. I have since stripped the Reload to test Meguiars 365.

Thanks for testing. Reload is something that I definitely want to try and get my hands on for some water testing. Be sure to let us know here your results for Meguiar's Paint Protect.
