duragloss 105 tpp

Even though DG105 has cleaning properties, it is a true sealant. That is why an Oily polish like Meg's UP will not allow it to bond to the paint. Same reason I am planning to use Optimum Polish II for hand correction of swirls, minor scratches and stains from bird droppings. Don't own a DA machine. This particular polish is water based and has no fillers, oils or silicones and will allow DG 105 to bond to the paint. I plan to top it up with OCW or C 845 for the Nuba warmth after 24 hours.

I don't see how something with cleaning properties can be a true sealant. 105 ventures into the AIO category more so than the sealant category. I apply 105 on top of even M205 without any bonding issues and I'm confident it cleans up all the oils without problems.

:iagree:
105 definitely consider as aio. Duragloss chemistry said for topper just use dg111 because dg105 has quite strong cleaner in it. i found it can easily remove water spot, tar and oil after polishing.

even dg 105 has more cleaner than dg 101 that consider as paint cleaner. But everybody can has different opinion.

So what is the durability of DG 105? At least better than Collinite 845.
I am not saying it is a pure sealant like Opti Seal. But it is a sealant with mild cleaning properties. There are multiple discussions that say so. It is definitely not an AIO.

On a daily, I've gotten 6-7 months out of 105, all washes were with ONR and wipedown with AW. That thread you posted is from 2007, pretty outdated and I don't know any of the people in it. It's more of an AIO than it is a pure sealant, I still think pure sealants are just that, pure, they don't clean, they top, but that's my opinion.

Great, 6 to 7 months is good enough for me. The very reason I picked up DG 105 was the fact that I wanted a sealant against a wax. C845 confuses the living hell out of me so went with DG 105. It did clean well and am happy with the shine. I topped with OCW and hoping to relax for 6 months by adding layers of OCW every month on top of DG :)
