DuraGloss #111 clearcoat polish....thoughts

I hear what your saying about changing pads with a finer polish Mike but why does GG only offer their one orange pad for polishing and then offer 4 different machine polishes?

Because too many pads are too confusing for the typical GG catalog reader? Heck, I'm on this forum every day (for too much time each day), and I've been on some detailing forum every day (for too much time each day) since 2004, and I still get confused by all the pad colors, etc.

Hey.....I've been a GG catalog "getter" since 2004.....wait, that might explain something, LOL! I have to say that I've gotten great results with my orange GG pads but I would like to have one that's a "tad" more aggressive than my orange GG pad and then one that's a "tad" less aggressive, any suggestions?

Mike, the worst was when LC reversed the colors from the HT to the Hybrid...no, actually the worst is old, old pads I have in my collection that I don't even know where they came from, "is this that green that's the light cutting like an LC white?....or is it the more aggressive one...or the "Mercedes-Benz" one? And trying to remember that black in an Edge pad is not like black in an LC pad, etc.

You'd think they'd print it on the part of the pad where you attach it to the backing plate or on the side of the pad itself.

I'm sure some of you guys have seen the thread that my buddy Derek0609 has put up about visiting the D but I think we've got another convert here!

I stepped away from DG for a sec to apply some BFWD and have noticed that it does dust a bit compared to DG which doesn't dust at all. Although the BFWD looks great the DG looks as good if not better so I might just be making a move away from BF....maybe. I will say I left the BFWD on for 1 hr and then removed it, maybe that's something I can't do with BFWD that I can do with DG....what do you guys think.

If and I say IF I switch to DG 100% I'm really going to need that WOWA clearseal from DG though, there has to be a way to get some right, even if it involves suitcases being switched under tables, trenchcoats and double agents, I'll need some of that stuff at that point....PLEASE HELP!

I used BFWD for the first time yesterday, and I had no dusting issues at all. It went on and came off amazingly easy. It took forever to get the sample bottle shook up after sitting for awhile though.

Wipe that BFWD dust off with V7 and tell me what you think. ;)

Oh I'm sure the V7 works great and its something I'm going to get for spring of 2013, along with some other products I've been wanting to try as well. I'm under the impression that V7 is like Aquawax but I'll still be gettinng some though.

I may have put a little too much on and/or left it on too long, like I said, it sat for one hour. I'm not bashing it at all but when wiping it off there would be small area's of dust left on the paint, something that's non exsistent with DG!

I applied a coat of #111 w/PBA to my car and let it sit for well over an hour while I wiped down my g/f's ride w/ AW. I had about an once left over and added about 1 oz of AW to the bottle and applied the left over to her car, so she got a double coat of DG goodness today! I then removed my coat of #111 from car and there's no doubt about it.....has to be in the top 3 products on the market and that's because I haven't tried everything but I can't see anything finishing better, my car looks ridicious!
