Your favorite marine/RV/motorcycle/car polish, Duragloss 501 (DG-501) is now available in a 128 oz. refill! :righton:

Duragloss Marine & RV Polish #501 is a UV resistant, sunscreen formula designed to clean, polish and protect the fiberglass, metal and painted surfaces of boats and RVs. These surfaces are exposed to the elements and require regular care to prevent fading and oxidation, just like your car’s finish.

Curious as to what DG-501 is capable of?

How To: Maximize Time with a Cleaner Wax/AIO

More often than not, the power of a one step cleaner wax/AIO is often misunderstood. A couple months ago I showed what one of the more popular AIOs, Pinnacle XMT 360, was capable of in an article I wrote, Rebirth of a Daily Driver - Oxidized Corolla. Today, while Jason was detailing a friend's GMC Canyon, I grabbed a Flex XC3401, slapped on a Lake Country Tangerine Hydro-Tech Polishing pad, and put one of the more popular AIOs, Duragloss 501, to the test to see what it was capable of.

Pick up a gallon of DG-501 and save big!

Duragloss Marine RV Polish #503

A gallon? Wow! That sure is not for guys like me who have a single car to care for. I'm 64 years old and I doubt I would live long enough to use it all. But for people with several cars to care for or the pros, this should certainly satisfy them. You know, I recently purchased a new Mercedes with "Diamond" White special German paint ($1500 option!). The first thing I did was wash and clay although claying was certainly not needed. I put on two coats of 601/105 and topped with AquaWax. The car looks great. I was told 501 would help and "richy" (a member here who really knows Duragloss products) highly recommends it. I am certainly going to try it but in a smaller quantity than this.

It is interesting what I learned about this product when I received a response from Jerry at Duragloss about how best to maintain this Mercedes paint. Here is what I asked, "Jerry, I contacted you once before concerning care for my brand new Mercedes "White Diamond" paint. I washed and clayed as soon as I got it home from the dealer in May and then used 601/105 (two coats) and topped with AquaWax the next day. It looks terrific! You said all I needed was 601/105 or, better yet since it is a new car, the 601/111. You also suggested a four to one ratio mix so as to save a step. I will order 111 soon to compare it with the 105 but at a detailing forum they recommend using 601/501 first, then 601/111 (or 105) and then AquaWax. Is 501 necessary on this new (and very hard) paint or is 501 used only for older and less perfect paint? I guess I'm not sure why or when 501 is needed. Thanks again".

Here is the response I received from Jerry, "The 501 is only needed for older paint that is oxidized or has lots of fine scratches. Stay with the 601/105 combination and you will not have to use anything else. Let me know how it works and thanks so much.
God Bless,
Jerry, Technical Support".

Next time I will try both 111 and 501 just to experiment but from what Duragloss says, 501 is best used on paint in need of minor correction and is not necessary for newer paint.

damn, I still have a gallon of opt gps.
I love DG501 with 601. but DG105 smells better.

This is sooo tempting! I will be starting on winter preps soon and use this as a base.
