Hi, I have been trying to find out the following information, but can not find the exact answer. Hope some one can help please.

My car was resprayed a week ago, I would really like to wash it, I have been using DG901 for awhile now and really do like it.

Can I use the DG901 to wash the new paint/clear coat. I know I can not put a sealant on for awhile etc.

I Know that DG901 leaves the car with that wet look, just concerned if what ever creates that could it effect my new paint.

Oh, I had no idea you were down under (as opposed to here in the US where it would be simple to call Duragloss). You should put your location in your profile so it shows up under your screen name.

Jowillie as confirmed by others to my question, I rang the agent for DuraGloss, which is Car Car Products here in Australia and he told me yes it should be fine to use on new paint.:xyxthumbs:
 
Just an update, I just finished washing the car in the DG901. I put a little less in than the recommended amount of 901, just playing it cautious.

The car came up well, I was surprised at the texture (if that is the word to use) on the roof of the car, wiping it down with the micro fiber it felt rough when the cloth passed over it. I am hoping that at a later date I can give it a cut using medium pads and a polish and this will rectify that.

It was obvious of the lack of polish, compared to how it was prior, when I was sheeting the water off.

I found 3 foreign bodies in the paint work, which I will get them to repair, I would imagine there are dust particles or the likes. I found one when picking the car up which they repaired for me within a couple of days.

Not sure about you guys in the U.S.A. but every time I wash the car along come these pesty insects and leave their business on the paint.

I can not wait for this paint to cure so I can get the car into the garage and start getting some polish/ wax onto her.

Thanks again for the help, I just got to build the confidence up that when I do get into the paint myself then what they have put on will be all good to cut etc.
 
Thanks Setec Astronomy, I just checked what I had and the only Glaze I have is Show Car Glaze 7, it does say "Paintable safe in the paint shop environment" So not sure if that is similar or okay for new painted surfaces?
 
Yeah, #7 is okay, it's just that that M305 has some protection also. Another one from the old days is #80.
 
Thank you I just read that it can be used on old/new paint and that to add a wax/sealant after, which of course is something I can not do at present.

"This product is 100% totally and completely safe for use on any and all paint - old, new, factory, repaint, etc". Extract from what was written.

I suppose in most instances I look for the answer that" yes this product can onto fresh paint". Those that do say they can, as in the extract above, do not give a time factor on how long new paint should be on before it goes on, so I assume when they say it can, I assume it can on sooner than later...If that all makes sense. Thanks Setec for your input it is appreciated.
