John, I've distributed them to about 20 people. I think I'm only waiting on 2 more reviews. That is all that is going to go out. Now the next step is to assess the durability of both the polish and the clear. I doubt they would bring both to market. We'll have to see how they hold up to the winter and so on. This is a long process. I've been beta testing for them for years now. Nothing is ever rushed. Quality overrides everything. They don't care how long it takes, only about how good they are. I hope they come to market too. I've been blown away by them and have probably used them on about a dozen vehicles so far. So far, so good!!

I'm sorry john and richy, what are these new 'beta' products that DG have in the makings?

BTW, thanks to everyone for your quick replies and information! :)

They haven't been talked about here as I did not offer them to anyone here. There are 2 products being tested for possible market. One is a clear nano sealant and the other a nano sealant/polish. I organized a thread at L2D where I sent samples out to about 20 people to test and evaluate. It is not a product one can buy at the moment, which is why I did not offer it to anyone here so as not to violate AG rules.

Aside from flashing curing for immediate layering and being a time saver, I think another advantage of mixing 601 into the 501 or 105 is saving a lot of 601. If you apply it separately, you will use more or less the same amounts of 601 and 105. If you mix them, you will save 80% of the required amount of 601 to be applied by itself. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct there too. The other advantage I forgot to mention is that 601 extends the duration of the durability of whatever it's mixed with, be it 501, 105 or 111.

I pretty much agree with you. There are times when people are heavy handed with liquid products which means you are wasting product. Great post :xyxthumbs:

hopefully duragloss reads the postings and makes us a blender.:dblthumb2: on a side note i polished some cruddy glass on a old chevy with 501 and it was sweet

Thanks Richy... from the comments above, that's what i figured was the case...

You've actually applied 501 on glass? That's crazy... i use 951 on my glass but never 501.

Oh, ya, I've used it on glass many times..it's great. Including on the inside where you have cigarette smoke that is stubborn to come off.

Wow, i never would have thought about that... Like i stated before, i plan on winterizing my truck in the next two weeks... I might have to give the 501 on the glass a try. When i get it all done, i'll post some pics in the show and shine section.

Again, thanks for your help guys!

Wow good tip! I always have used straight IPA saturated on a rag with a razor blade. It's messy and you have to be careful not to get the IPA on plastic stuff and throw the rag away(sticky gooey mess).
