While in Indy I picked up some Duragloss at Car Quest.
I liked the #101 and #111 but only got to do a fast job on the hood of my son's WRX.

I did the rest of the car with Aquawax after it had been washed and dried.
Very nice product, my question is which is a better method.
To use it on a dry car or use it when the car is still wet after it has been washed.
After reading the directions they say to do it wet ??????????????

So Al-53 and Sparkie the "Duragloss Men" which do you like ???
I know you never tried a product you didn't like :D but how do you use it.

Thanks

I prefer doing it on dry paint.....you get the best looks and slickness....a little goes a long ways so just a spray or 2 per panel....and then look at it the next day..even better

We did it on Sat. afternoon and he was at the track at 5AM on Sunday and if you watched the race you saw the rain came down hard.
So I never got to see how it looked the next day.
I might get to try it this weekend if the weather holds out a little.

Thanks Al

Hey where's our pics? LOL!!! I want to see the beading.LOL!!!
I do agree with Al.
You will love 101, and 111. Shake well, I'm sure they have been setting there with dust on the boxes.

By the way I hate #104. It's better to WOWO, still a pain in the you know what. The product works, just a pain.

Hi Sparkie,
No dust on the box's, they said it's a good mover for them.
I'm going back for the F1 race and bringing him some pads for the Porter Cable I got him for Christmas.
He's working on some special pass's for us so we might be spending allot of time at the track.

#104 must be like Collinite, you have to put it on super thin and in the shade.

Thanks,
Ed

Is it too much to use AW on a weekly bases?

The other day, I put some AW on the wife's car and I guess I hadn't wiped it all off properly. It dried overnight and I gave it the final wipe down the next morning. Looked great!

I use it about every two weeks, no problems. But over time you will have build up of sealant. I'm seeing that on the wife car. Done some #921 and that took care of it.

I think it depends on the soap used. I have not found Aquawax to last more than a single wash without a significant change in feeling (slickness) and reflection. I have noted that when using the Duragloss wash it does not degrade quite as quickly, thus probably sharing some polymers in each.

Does AW bead well on its own? I used it the other day and didn't find it to be spectacular. Perhaps on top of another already existing layer of wax?

I use AW as a single topper for my middle packages. I always apply on a dry car, and it's very apparent the slickness it adds, especially after claying.

I get about a month of protection from AW by itself and maybe a couple washes in between (always DG901)
