Duragloss Aquawax is the real deal!

I have been using Aquawax as a drying aid on all opticoated cars and it defiantly amps up the shine and slickness. I just mist it on the wet car and dry with a single waffle weave and the blower. Don't let the price fool you. You don't have to spend big bucks to get quality from Dura Gloss.

AquaWax is one of my favorites, as is virtually every product I use made by Duragloss. But as an experimenter, I try a bunch of different things and one product that acts very much like AW is Lucas Slick Mist Spray Wax. The advantage is that it is a bit cheaper than AW and can be found everywhere locally, including WalMart. My NAPA store does not carry any Duragloss products and I must order them. The Lucas has a great smell, can be used as a drying aid, QD and "topper". It is a great product and equal to AW, in my opinion.

Another huge Duragloss Aquawax fan here! :props:

Like many, I read the reports and comments of users and bought some on a BOGO offering....WOW is all I can say and like the entire Duragloss product line it's a kick-ass product offered at a price that we all can afford...:dblthumb2:

I've never used it as a drying aid, just when the car is already clean and I wanna add a little "somethin, somethin".

How does it look on your black Abarth?

I'm trying to figure out what I want to use on my black car, but I'm waffeling between Meg's UQW and AW. I'm not looking for more of a deep gloss than a mirror like shine.

Here's the deal, per Bill, president of DG, once the Enviroshield system is applied, he recommends NOT using AW on the car. Now this could also be not needing to use it rather than not using it all, need to find this out. Not sure how AW could damage their paint coating.

I grabbed some of this last month when I went to Napa and they didn't have AW, I haven't tried it yet...it's been mentioned on this forum a few times. I have Megs UQW as well so I look forward to comparing the two.

Well I'll say this, my black RAV4 pops when I hit it with the AW, I use to use the UQW and UQD and the results were really good, great product all the way around , but the AW blows both if them out the water.
At times I got streaks when I used the Meg's sprays but not with the AW, 100% flawless every time I use it:dblthumb2:

What separates it the most from others is how slick the paint feels once your done buffing it off.

Seeing is believing like some say, I'm one of those people so when I saw the AW results for the first time I was floored and won't look back:)

AW is just an awesome product, period! Buy it by the gallon and $ave!!

I ordered two bottles on my last order, next time I'll order a gallon or two.
It's that good:dblthumb2:

If you like aquawax, give their marine/rv detail spray a try. It has a good amount of cleaners in it and leaves the paint slicker than aw IMO.

There are few products in the detailing world that are as universally loved as Aquawax. It truly is a must-have in any detailer's collection. Yes it's "just" a spray wax, but it's so easy to use, smells nice, is inexpensive and looks great. If you're going to spend the time to wash your car, spend an extra 10 minutes and give it a coat of Aquawax.

I just wanted to confirm with you all that AW can be used as a topper on a car that has been waxed previously with a carnauba wax such as Souveran.

So what I wanna' know is when is AG going to send me my 'gift certificate' for (sending it to, and) getting you hooked on Aquawax! :D

Like it a lot. I can't say its the best thing out there, but its certainly better than the otc waxes. I'm not tempted to try other candidates as they are all much more expensive.

It does have this peculiar trait of getting shinier a few hours after you apply it. I don't think its terribly durable, but if you apply it every week after your wash you may get build up. Personally, I think durability in a spray wax is a low priority. I want something that will last a couple of weeks and then be gone when I wash it.

I used AW today for the first time on my Solara DD. The results were amazing. One of the best products I have ever owned. Now just need to easter sale to buy it by gallons....

here's one thread (blast from the past) that helped DG with a loyal following with the awesome products they produce... :xyxthumbs:

Kinda funny how you say its not the best out there and then you make a couple solid points which actually make it the best, LOL! Price and it gets shinnier afterwards, true and true, not to mention its pretty much available anywhere, for the most part.

Just used some yesterday. Such a great product. The slickness it leaves behind is amazing.

I don't depend on the Duragloss 951 for long term protection , I use either one of my sealants or my now go to Collinite #845.
The Duragloss isn't mean for long term protection, IMO it's to help your last step last longer but mainly use it to boost up the shine and to get that slickness it offers.
I mean for a $10.00 product it would be very difficult to find one that works better for the same price.
Apply it to your glass and you'll notice it gives it a shine and does a good job it repelling water, much better than Rain-X and much easier to apply, I use it both on the interior and exterior glass:)

I also apply it to my wheels every time I wash them, break dust has no chance to bod to the wheels.
