Duragloss Aquawax is the real deal!

As much as I like AquaWax, I have been turning more and more to the Duragloss Fast Clean and Shine, especially now in the spring with thunderstorms popping up and wind/pollen. This is the "little brother" to AquaWax and is considered more of a QD than a "topper" but it looks the same. It leaves a great shine and is very good at removing bird bombs, fingerprints, water spots and light dust/pollen.

Whereas a product such as PoorBoy's Spray and Wipe is a pure waterless wash that cleans very well but leaves nothing behind, I consider Fast Clean and Shine sort of a PoorBoy's on steroids - it cleans nearly as well but gives a great shine as a bonus. As good as AquaWax is, it is not intended to be a QD but when a real honest to goodness QD is needed, I can't think of anything better than Duragloss FCS.

It is my understanding some places sell it, such as NAPA and CarQuest. However, Duragloss is not in my local NAPA store so I have to think this is a regional thing - you might find Duragloss in some stores or you might not.
 
I like to use AW when I want a little "boost" in appearance, like a cruize night or just when I feel like it. As for a regular QD, well I make it out of DG's rinseless, especially since it has AW infused in it already. If you have an old16 oz bottle w/ sprayer just 2 oz's topped with water makes for a great QD, same ratio to make a gallon of DG's homemade QD applies as well.

Interesting, but it makes sense since it has some AquaWax in the wash solution. I made up something like this with ONR and it was just okay. I'll have to try the Duragloss homebrew as a QD.

Its pretty concentated so keep in my the dilution rate, 2 oz for a 16 oz bottle or 16 oz for a gallon. With all the knowledge here I find it hard to believe that anyone would buy a designated QD and not just make your own out of rinseless wash.

+1. And so much less expensive than all the fashion stuff!

I have to limit how much I put on the black metallic, so I added 10% to FCS for in between.

I went to 105/601 on the windshield then maintain it with AW.

My NAPA store doesn't carry it, though they are listed as a dealer. May just be a local thing. They tell me they can get it for me from warehouse--IN CASES ONLY!

Local Carquest carries most here; the rest is a 2 P.M. or next morning, depending when I go in and ask for it.
 
Before I started using the Duragloss Auqawax I used the DP Quick Detailer, very good product, just doesn't leave the paint as slick as the Duragloss.

Before that I used the Turtle Wax Rinse--Wash and Wax.

I pour the entire 32oz bottle of the Turtle Wax into a one gallon jug then fill with water.
Makes for a good quick detailer, more so being mixing a gallon of it cost six bucks, it also has wax in it and smells really good:)

But nothing, and I mean nothing comes close to the Duragloss Auqawax 951 when it comes down to shine and slickness.
Want a quick way to get those door jams to shine, hit it with the Duragloss :)
Works just as good on glass.

My question would be how much to use per car. The last bottle I bought lasted me enough for a sedan and and suv.......Am I using to much?
 
Yeah, a single spray per panel/section is generally enough as its pretty concentrated! Like said earlier, GREAT on glass!

Yeah I've noticed how good it is on glass. Its been raining all day. Driving to work and back i barely used my wipers. This thing beads better than rain x
 
When you use it on your windshield, do you get the halo/streaking at night ? I hate anything on my windshield. I use the Duragloss Window ReNu or whatever it's called to keep the windshield glare free.

I hate that wiper trail effect at night. Pretty much blinds me when hit with oncoming headlights. I started noticing this when I started using carwashes with wax etc. in the forumlation.
