I used AW for the first time, yesterday, immediately after my final rinse. I didn’t know the exact procedure, so I’ve been interested in the comments in this thread. I think I definitely used too much, if we’re talking about one spray a panel. I guess from reading the brief instructions on the back of the bottle, I thought the idea was to spray the wet surface and then spread the product while wiping the car dry with a MF. You would then polish after the product dried. I might have also goofed up on this last part, because I did the entire car (wanting to get the rinse water off before it dried) and then started polishing the dried AW. It wasn’t easy off after letting it dry that long.

Can anyone help me out with the application instructions and whether it’s better applied to a wet or dry vehicle ?

I've heard of people putting a cap of AW in the wash bucket but I have yet to hear of people putting on a wet car. I am going to try putting some in my wash bucket on this weekends detail.

To date I have only used it as others have already stated, sparingly.

PS - AW will look even better the next day when used correctly.

EDIT: Just got off the phone with the DG guys. I was told that when drying you can spray your MF with AW and it will do the trick as well

Do a lite spray on your MF for the first and only time. Spray with a sweeping motions across a body part like a fender with one spray. Wipe it in with the wet part, flip your MF over and wipe dry. Do the rest of the body parts the same way and glass too....You can do a large SUV in about 10 min.....

Maybe I read more into the product’s instructions and don’t really understand what this product is actually doing. Based on your application advice, I should just spray lightly and use an AW damp MF to spread and then immediately wipe dry with a dry MF. I’m assuming you’re also applying this to a dry car (my first attempt was after my final rinse without any towel drying).

My product instructions end with the statement to BUFF, so I interpreted this to mean that I would let the product dry and then buff, but apparently this isn’t necessary.

Again thanks for the advice; I’ll try it again this weekend (you can wash your car two weeks in a row can’t you? J)

i actually just did my BMW with AW while it was still wet for a quick lil detail spraying down at a local car wash...


i was just going to clean my rims on the fly and had enough time to get the car a quick spritz with the "spotless rinse" and decided to give aw a try

being on a time frame (it was 830p and i was on a break at work haha) i decided to go ahead and spray the car down with AW then took one of my larger MF towels and folded into sections...

wiping down the whole car i started to get the start of some "streaking" but i just took one more MF towel and buffed the whole car and havent been able to test out the awesome beading action i live for

and tonight it finally rained and i got to behold the beading ... which i was surprised at how good it actually did with it being applied to a wet car



Definately a welcomed addition to my arsenal

yes.....thats perfectly acceptable as i QD my car daily...hahahaha
