The DP regular car wash stinks compared to duragloss and at best the DP is less than mediocre.The extreme foam and the rest of the line is super!

Well, in order to enhance my detailing tools supply, and to improve on the quality of my work, I needed a foam gun. But like they say, necessity is the mother of invention! :D
With that said...this is what I came up with...
I took the head unit off a bottle of a grass fertilizer, cleaned it real good, and screwed it on a spray bottle I have; the results, my own homemade foam gun! :righton:
This is what it looks like: (just washed the car with the soap, rinsed, and dried -nothing more-) Just had to test it on my own car...
Notice it has its own shut-off dial valve (in blue) :lol:

The results were ok. I was pleased that it worked like I thought it would. However, the suds action could've been better. I have poured about an ounce of a diluted 50/50 Duragloss Car Shampoo with water to experiment, probably an inch of the total diluted solution into the bottle
Next time, I'm going to use the carwash soap in its concentrated form, now that I know it will work

Today, I put more concentrated carwash soap and the results were terrifiv. I forgot my camera earlier when I was detailing a mustang...may be next time I'll post some pics

now, now .... nobody said bad. I try alot of brands and Duragloss is a nice line for most products. It doesnt however sit in the slots as best of the best. This comes down to personal preference, and again alot more products that most would try. The soap, aluminum wheel cleaner, odor remover, and fast and clean are very nice offerings.

Yes indeed. I wouldn't be surprised considering the shine quality the soap provides. However, I really don't know that for sure.

I usually put that little bit of Rain-X in with the 901 and actually have a time of it keeping enough water on the vehicle. Sounds like a be all, end all mixture. But, the ironic part of it is, (i.e.) using the Rain-X soap, I notice the windows still spot. LOL.

To each his own, as they say. Pick it up at NAPA, try it, and when you love it order it from AG in big sizes.

I love the Wheel Cleaner and 4 in 1, haven't tried others.....yet :)

The Duragloss soap is one of my favorites, along with Poorboy's SS&S. I will be going back to Duragloss once I run out of Poorboy's, possibly buying a 1 gallon.

Hell. I put a cap full of Aquawax in my bucket of Duragloss Car Shampoo ...Slick Sh*t

Yes, I use a cap full of the Rain-X Self Dry soap in with the 901. Obviously the 901 will leave the shine, while the R-X leaves a no spots. I've found that taking the spray nozzle off, then using the flow dry method works exceptionally well with this combo of soaps. Water spots are intolerable as I have black paint.
 
Guys, mix 50/50 of your favourite car wash shampoo with duragloss aquawax and or fast clean and shine
I did some testing in my kitchen sink of exactly what would happen if spray sealants like aquawax and any brand QD were mixed together in equal parts in a bottle and then shaken and poured into a bucket and water added.

Many things will kill the suds or affect a car wash solution in many ways but I found that no QD's or aquawax did any damage and the effect on the suds, colour of wash solution, slickness, lubrication, cleaning ability and paint conditioning was awesome

I have a 500ml mixture of 250ml driven to perfection protective wash and duragloss FC&S and a two litre milk container full of my new improved showcar suds car wash on my showroom shelf.
They condition, protect, restore slickness and add gloss and will not dry out any exterior hard or soft moldings.

When used, the suds defy gravity and the lubrication and cleaning ease is incredible.
When I shake the two litre container of showcar suds, the suds are volcanic and take six hours to die down.

So make up an equal parts mixture of your favourite shampoo and quick detail spray and see what happens. (start with a small sample bottle first just in case it doesn't work)

I seen that you used 250ml and 500ml. So I take it that you have beakers or flasks for your mixing. Do you use an overhead stirrer or magnetic stirrer?

I thought you meant the regular Rain-X for glass that is crap.
 
No I just have a variety of plastic bottles from 125ml to 500ml and simply mix 250ml of wash and QD into a bottle and shake the heck out of it. Once it's all calmed down, goes on shelf and gets tested when I find time.
Extremely simple, no chemistry lab technology or know how here. I'm a mad detail scientist who is being a wannabe chemist without the knowledge or tools, just an understanding of what each product is made for, testing them on every car surface except fabrics by hand and machine to see what it will do. So far 90% of my formula's are working terrificly well

Hoping to complete a chemistry course in the coming few years
