Duragloss Enviroshield Ceramic Coating System

I used the system yesterday and all went well but it was getting late and wasn't able to take any pics, before or afters. The high yesterday was 54 and after a wipedown afterwards I pulled the car back down into the garage for application of DGPC. Now since it was 54 for a high the garage was slightly warmer but still felt cool, so not all sections dried right away but per directions it says to buff off excess, which I did w/o a problem. Once the weather stays warmer I will absolutely add a 2nd and 3rd coat.

Like DPPC the DGPC does flash quickly, so once you spray it on, wipe it in and wipe often to work it all in. This stuff has a strong scent too, just a heads up to those whom are sensitive to such things. Initial impressions are it leaves the paint looking really wet but that's inside the garage where lighting isn't the best, today's forecast is partly sunny w/ rain later, so I'll snap some pics as well as get to see some water beading as well!

I will start the official review and pics thread as soon as time allows, thanks.

No problem but let me say this, used M101 for polishing, absolutely flawless finish! When I had the car out in the sun for the wipedown the metallic just POPPED! The swirls were minimal anyways but used my GG3" w/ GG orange for the bumpers, sideskirts, front fenders, mirror caps and A-pillar area and my GG6" w/GG orange pad for the hood, doors and roof/wing and rear quarter panels. There was no need to follow up with a less aggressive polish IMO.

How does this compare to opticoat? I'm getting ready to put a coating on my parents Kia and was debating on which to use, I have used opticoat on 5 cars and was just curious about the dg

I've never used OptiCoat so I can't comment but if you have had good luck with it, stick with it but if your looking to buy something because your out, well, this is the way to go! Its $38.00 for the Squeaky Clean, the DG paint coating, 2 applicators and a mf towel, shipping is FIVE DOLLARS!

So I pulled the car out of the underground garage today and inspected my cars look....SOAKING WETT! Now to be fair here I did do a full correction prior to using the system and the metallic was just jumping out at me! The finished product with DGPC just makes the car look stunning. Because I applied it in a cool, underground garage I did have a couple spots where I had to buff it out but I'm 100% sure it was a combo of the temps and maybe using a tad too much product, think learning curve here. The nice thing is that I was able to spritz a little of my "FrankenDetailer" onto a plush gray Cobra mf towel and a couple wipes and it all evened out, no problem.

The next warm day we get and I have the time I will be adding a 2nd coat of DGPC to ensure complete and total coverage. Not sure about using it on my glass though, gotta ask Bill about that but then again I do have a lot of sealants and waxes to use now, LOL!

I do HIGHLY recommend this product, can't beat the price for all you get, the low shipping costs and the rep DuraGloss has in the detailing community, a win win win IMO!!!

Sounds like a winner! Since you used a polish I take it you did not need Squeaky Clean at all this time around?

Don't forget this coating is said to last a year or two and Opticoat should last allot longer--there are some people who've had Opticoat on their cars for 5 years and it's as good as day one.

I'm glad to here this.....I Haven't had the chance to use mine yet, maybe this weekend, if my back will allow

I am going to assume that you did use squeaky clean as 101 does have protection properties that would need to be removed for proper bonding of the coating.(Thinking aloud here)

Looking forward to some pics.

I used Meg's 101, not DG #101, so since its a pure polish there is NO protection. I did hand apply Squeaky Clean after using the M101 to ensure a proper clean surface for the DGPC.

I couldn't get any pics because it was high noon and it was too sunny for pics.

Thanks for the quick rundown, K.

You might have mentioned it, but is this your first coating product?

Can't wait for an official review + photos.

I see.....my confusion on the 101.....thanks for clearing that up.

I guess I just have DG on the brain.

No, I used DPPC on my CR-Z and loved it! Put it on last Nov and it went through a horrible winter and it always cleaned up easy and looked outstanding when done. Traded the car in on Valentine's Day so someone out there will not have to worry about maintence on the paint for quite some time!

Because it rained yesterday I did my 1st rinseless wash, DG ofcoarse and yeah the coating was just applied 2 days ago, but WOW is this stuff slick! Not only that but drying the car was easier too. I will take some pics when I leave for work today and post them here.

If there's ANYONE on the fence about which paint coating to get, look NO further! The quality, ease of use, price for all you get and shipping directly from DG, you simply can't go wrong!!!

Applied my favorite tire dressing, Pinnacle Black Onyx on Sunday, drove in the rain yesterday and did the rinseless today where I spray the tires/wheels w/ pre-wash rinseless and wipe down the tires/wheels w/ my mf glove, rubbing the tires down well. I can't say enough about Pinnacle Black Onyx!

Being a good Italian boy myself, I LOVE that Fiat!! The coating looks great by the way - nice job! Love that Fiat too!! I use Duragloss Wet Shine and also like Meguiar's Endurance Gel on my tires and I am pretty pleased with them. Love that Fiat too!! But now I'll now have to try the Pinnacle! Love that Fiat too!! Did I tell you I LOVE that Fiat!! It may not be a Ferrari but it is every bit as Italian! Hey, wait a sec - Ferrari IS Fiat!!
