Duragloss product definitive guide

What's y'alls fav DG products?

111 - I save this for really high end work. Sometimes I'll top it with Zymol Creame or Carbon. On it's own it is very durable, and stands up well

101 - Usually after a one step polish. Does a nice job cleaning, and protecting.

501 - If paint isn't too beat up, I use this as an AIO. If it's beat up, I use megs M66.

Aquawax - Durable spray sealant. Easy to use, and smells fantastic!

I use Duragloss protective products when I use Menzerna, or Rupes polishes. If I go with Meguiar's, I tend to stay within their line, but there have been plenty of times I've followed megs with DG.

Big time DG user here. It's impossible for me to pick a favorite, but I can definitely give you a top 3...

1. Aquawax (#951) - A synthetic spray sealant that can make clean paint pop like no other. Easy to apply, don't have to use much, and a great value for your money.
2. Car Wash Concentrate (#901) - $6.99 on AG store for one of the best car washes on the market. You cannot beat that. Has the ability to shine as it washes and carries dirt away from paint to ensure you won't scratch or mar the paint. I don't/won't use anything else.
3. Nu Glass (#755) - This stuff is awesome. It really does make the glass like new. You can use it around the house as well (think hard water on the shower glass). It's easy to use even by hand.

** OK, gotta mention TPP #105 is great as well. Easy to apply and has decent cleaning ability with top notch durability.

All of their products seem like great value for the money and they just work. Truly a great brand. Go to the store section of AG, click "Shop by Brand", find DG and have fun trying not to spend all your money. :xyxthumbs:

Here's the dealeo...

The first time I used Duragloss 901 on an older car with highly neglected paint...all I did was set out to wash the car. I did that using another brand of soap available at many retailers stores. The car was super clean and looked tons better, yet lacked that pop...which is to be expected. The first thought was the car needed polished, and while that is true, I elected to wait.

Two weeks go by and I wash the car a couple more times during that time frame, but on the last wash I switched to Duragloss 901. Up close I couldn't tell much which may seem strange, but it's the truth. It wasn't until I went back into the house for a nice cold beverage that my wife went to the door to see how the car looked and she was so blown away she yelled for me to ask me if I polished the paint. This was dark blue paint. When I looked to see what she was fussin' about I was in total disbelief. The car looked 10 times glossier than it had after the past washings. Heck, just think how it would have looked had I polished the paint that day. I was shocked that the glossifiers in the soap made such an impact on the appearance of the paint.

That said, I now save the 901 soap for super dirty car washings and I now take a maintained vehicle and use Duragloss rinseless wash with Aquawax or another similar product like Meg's D114 which is another killer cleaner, less the glossing agents, or I use ONR or Ultima waterless wash which is another great soapless washing product that doesn't require rinsing. However, the Duragloss products give a noticeable shine increase in my experience and opinion. Try any of the 4 brands I've mentioned above and see which is your preference.

Rinseless makes washing and wiping down a 10-20 minute process for a car that isn't that dirty, but could stand a cleaning. It's so fast it's fun. I even like the Meguiar's D115 wash and wax. Nice products.

AW does seem to "pop" about 30 minutes after you apply it!

Is 111 really as glossy as they say?
Maybe it's just more glossy than the other products.
If you apply 101, 105, or even 111... I would let it "cure" over-night and apply Aquawax or Fast Clean & Shine...Now you got gloss.
Just my experience.

I just used DG #203 Leather and Vinyl Dressing in my ride this weekend and am impressed with the results. My vehicle looks new inside, I typically use Mothers VLR but think I have been impressed enough to change.

None of the DG products are aggressive at all.

I concur with everything that's been stated. I'm a recent DG convert coming from Meguiars. EVERY SINGLE Duragloss product I try has turned out to be absolutely awesome. Yes, the 111/601 gloss absolutely rocks. As I've mentioned before- I can't believe the gloss it produces is even possible without first machine polishing. If you need a clean, do 105 first and finish with 111. The 601 gives both 105 and 111 an enormous boost. As far as longevity goes... I'm about 8 weeks into my last application of 111/601, and it looks like I put it on yesterday-- and that's after several washes. I anticipate several months out of this last coat, but I'll likely apply again soon because I like it so much!

The waterless wash is great. The Aquawax couldn't be better. The car wash soap is stellar. I'm LOVING the Tire and Rubber dressing. It's like a paint sealer for your tires. It's unlike anything I've used before- it's seriously more like a sealer than a dressing. Totally non-greasy and it lasts a long time if it doesn't get wet. If it does get wet- it's fairly resistant. No worries there. It doesn't attract dust. It simply makes tires look "new", not "dressed". I've even been using it on my weathertech floor mats, bed rails, and mud flaps. A nice darkening effect without the greasy "dressed" feel. Ha I just put it on my patio furniture!

In closing... I don't think you can go wrong here :)

I wish DG made a tire coating!

Has anybody tried combining DG601 with a non-DG sealant?

I have, I used it with Collinite 845. It was hard to tell if it did anything to extend the life of 845, but it didn't hurt anything either.
I really like AW and I've used gallons of F C & S. However, now I use a water-less wash product as a detailer.
The vinyl / leather dressing is very under - rated. It has a strong perfume for 12 hours, but it really lasts. Wonderful product
AW should be in the detailer's Hall Of Fame.

I'm almost out of my gallon of Meguiars D156 spray wax. Can Aquawax be used as a suitable replacement? (On paint, glass, trim...)
