I can tell what I do and it works like a charm. I apply the 4:1 mix that the guys have mentioned of 501/601 via DA at 4 with a white pad. Work the area and then buff it off. You will observe it to be smooth and shiny. Go around the car doing the same thing. Then mix 105/601 and either put it on by hand or via DA at 4 with a black pad. Simple, fast and very effective. This procedure has worked for me countless times.
How long do you wait before applying the 105/601?
The use of 601 makes the corresponding product, whether it's 501 or 105 or 111, flash cure. As I joked in another thread, this does not mean that Philbert (aka Flash) comes down and blows on your finish to make it cure quickly. NO, what it means that you can top it immediately. I go around the car first applying and removing the 501/601 combo and then you can do the same with the 105/601 right away.
Absolutely, yes. I'm sorry I didn't make myself more clear on that. This started from me wanting to save time on doing massive sized funeral coaches. Can the 105/601 mixture be layered immediately? Sealants can generally be layered, right? Anyway, thanks. This mixing technique made me buy the "DG Trio" or "DG Love Triangle".![]()

Thanks richy and rwright. For persons with no covered garage, it sucks when it rains while the LSP is curing. It compromises the durability of an otherwise durable wax or sealant. After reapplication, these persons sometimes resort to prayers that it will not rain for the next 24 hours. This flash curing is indeed a good news because I am one of them.
I dont understand all the hype of mixing different Duragloss products---that would be annoying. I just use 501 and the very next day add Collinite 845---good for 6 months protection.
Rwright, I was under the impression that 501 was considered an AIO and that it has very strong cleaners? I guess you're saying that it has absolutely no cut.
