Easiest to use Ceramic coating?

I've had a bottle of this sitting around for a few months... looking forward to trying it out.

I personally enjoy following your work and value your opinion. Please post up your thoughts on this.

I apply with a CarPro Block and Suede, I don't prefer the supplied GTechniq Applicator.

For wipe off, I use a shorter nap microfiber towel followed by a medium nap microfiber towel. I do not prefer suede towels for removing the coating residue.

Thanks for your response Zach. Do you prefer a short nap microfiber towel for this particular coating or all of them?
The reason i ask is because the only other coating i ever used was cquartz which recommends the suede. i actually like it.
when done just throw away. also do you throw them away when done? Thanks again i respect your opinion, i know you have a lot of experience with different coatings

Same here. Looking forward to your thoughts on the forum/DI Blog or your youtube channel.

Gloss coat really is super easy. Funny enough I find Gloss coat easier to use than Opti-seal.

I too have a bottle of Cancoat which I bought 2 weeks ago. I quickly used it on a scrap panel and its very easy to use. Spray on MF towel, apply on the panel, flip the MF towel and buff after 1min. Easy peasy

Just the newest version of CQuartz. I believe the formula was tweaked in 2016 and now has a super fast flash time. Makes it a lot easier to apply in my experience.
You thinking about cquartz uk? Cquartz standard doesn't seem to flash too terribly fast.

I just bought CQ UK and the box calls for 1-5 minutes before removing. Not really a wipe on wipe off deal. :)

With reformulations happening often, how can I tell my box isn't 2 versions or more old? Maybe a code on the box?

The U.K. Formula was designed for cold weather applications. The CQuartz flashes faster and is easier to use. Polish Angel coatings are very easy to use too. Truthfully I don't know any coatings (except Blackfire) that I would put in the "hard to apply" category. Take your time. Watch a few videos and prep your vehicle correctly and everything will work fine.

That is essentially my process for the majority of coatings.

As far as CQuartz goes, the suede works OK, but they have recently stopped sending suede towels with their Finest kits and now send a short nap microfiber instead as many of the installers had found those work better at leveling residue, and apparently they agreed in that instance. I haven't used regular CQuartz or CQuartz UK in a long time so I am not sure how those relate.

I don't typically throw towels away after coating. I soak them in water immediately and then wash them within a reasonable amount of time. I've never had an issue.

Gyeon bald wipe towels are amazing when working with coatings for leveling.

Okay thank you

Love the BaldWipes. Even after nearly a year, though, they still bleed blue when washed. No big deal but it has left me with a lot of strangely colored towels when not washed separately. Baldwipes also work well for me as an applicator pad for things like Gyeon Cure and such.

LOL I haven't washed them except with each other, so guess I haven't found out.

Gloss Coat apply wait for self leveling, buff high spots, when applied with a car pro applicator I've found you can really limit high spots

Original CQ application is similar to CQUK now. 1-5 min flash time IIRC for both products. UK is definitely what I consider wipe on wipe off, especially in temps above 65F. Apply product, cross hatch, inspect for full coverage, grab wipe off towel and start leveling. That pretty much takes 1-3 mins on something like a door panel.

The label on the bottom of the bottle has two numbers: the production date and the expiration date. If the instructions on the box for CQuartz say 1-5 min wipe off time that should be the newer version though.
