Easy to apply ceramic coating

I doubt you’ll get it from the Megs hybrid paint coating.

Ya....they wash out about the same, here in Michigan I get about 3 months and I start to see failure.
We have a chain store here and I can get Meg's for less than $20/kit.......can't beat it at that price

Good idea. I just use disposable eye droppers. Still have the three spray heads the sent somewhere.

Eldorado2k if you didn’t get 6+ months from CanCoat I doubt you’ll get it from the Megs hybrid paint coating.

If you wanna try tho it’s on sale from Big snake river for $27

Interesting. Just to be clear, you’re talking about the kit where the bottles are dark blue colored? I honestly haven’t seriously considered actually buying it yet, especially when I believe I saw it yesterday for $40 bucks. But thanks for letting me know.

I did wind up making a $100+ purchase on detailing stuff by complete surprise yesterday. I ran into 1 of those sales that was too good to pass up.

I wound up scoring a bunch of 6oz. bottles of Megs Surface Prep Spray for $1.67 each! Lol.
Along with a few more great deals including several gallons of essential stuff to stock up on.

Did they discontinue that Meg's coating? Is that why you guys are finding it for 75% off?

Also, how many vehicles can you do with a can of Cancoat?

IMO they are re marketing it as "Ultimate Ceramic coating" coming out in 2024...No kit just a small spray bottle.

At the price I was able to get the original kits I stocked up......LOL

I’ve done a bunch, maybe like 7-8 vehicles and there’s still a bunch left.

I -believe- the spray is not a repackaged from the HPC. Something in previous readings on it was tricky not he formulation to remain and not solidify in the aerosol container itself...
Unless it's repackaged with new tech where even *air* can get introduced by the tip of the spray nozzle.

Polysiloxane does not harden like hi solid coatings...."Hybrid" coating does not harden....neither will the new product.
I have used 15 kits on vehicles in the past 2 years...towels or applicators stay soft

Time will tell.....Happy New Year!

10-4. I'll have to re read the specific post I was referencing, but it was something akin to (meguiars had to nail down the formula so that it would say liquid in the canister rather than hardening in the bottom of the can). It's somewhere on the AGO forum. I've never used HPC so no real data points ...

On the CanCoat front, I got 13 months from the original and that was on a daily driven car that only saw touchless car washes for about 5-ish months due to living through a mid-west winter, back when we still had winters, i.e. lots of snow, rain and salted roads.

For the OP: A dark horse recommendation would be Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Wax. I picked up a bottle a couple years ago as a cheap solution for a job that didn't end up happening. I started using it on my daughter's car that sits out 24/7 at college and it has been shockingly durable; as in several months per application. It's easy to apply and looks pretty decent as well.

From what I have seen from actual Meguiars employees comments on the the Ultimate Coating, it has nothing in common with their Hybrid Paint Coating. According to Meguiars, this will harden and is an actual ceramic.
