seems like that would make it way harder to clean, not easier.

how do you get behind the lexan/plastic to get the brake dust off?
 
great for show cars that never move, not pratical in real life. You would need to remove and clean the backside monthly. Using the wrong chemical could turn the plastic a milky white appearance, and just imagine what they would look like after your wife chipped one on a curb. :( :( :(
 
Naah, they're easy to clean. Just blast is with full strenght Simple Green every day and you'll be just fine!

having had Baer Eradispeed Rotors on my past C5 ... I can tell you for a fact, any APC (like Simple Green) will damage the zinc coating immediately.

I had upgraded to the Big Brake system just before the crash. Ended up selling it to another local Vette owner. Huge rotors front and rear , stainless steel lines, and custom pads made a huge difference even on a Vette.
