eBay for detailing products?

Good morning fellow geeks! I know the rules off on AGO prohibits sales of products, but I am looking for an outlet to thin down my inventory and was wondering if any of you had used eBay in the past to sell off your extras!?!?

I currently have:

A brand new quart (32oz) of Menzerna Powerlock



A brand new 16 oz. bottle of Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
A brand new 8oz. bottle of Deep Gloss Liquid Seal



Two 19 oz. cans of Diamondite Perfect vision



One bottle of Nanoskin Banana Ice synthetic lubricant sealant



One 16oz bottle of Pinnacle Liquid Souveran



One 8oz. bottle of Wolfgang Finishing Glaze



One bottle of Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845..(used 2 times)



Before you ask..... YES, they are all wonderful products, and I have enjoyed them many times before. This is an overstock of products I currently have (thanks to Meghan and Nick and their regular sales!!). Since it is unlikely that I will get to those products before they turn bad, I would rather someone else enjoy (and would use the money to buy other stuff during those cursed sales LOL!).

I would really appreciate some input to see if I should eBay them separate or bundled (or if there are better outlets to pawn those products).

ALSO..... if anyone is reading and would like to swap products for products (same $$ values or close to it), I would not be opposed to seeing them go to a fellow geeker!
 
What is a Synthetic Lubricant Sealant Gel? If I was blindfolded I would guess that as a CG product but since I'm not I can see it's Nanoskin...wuts it fer?
 
I have had great success on Facebook buying and selling product. They have groups for just that purpose. By the way, check your PM.

Setec, It is essentially a lubricant to use to the Autoscrub (clay alternative) that has a built in sealant. According to the manufacturer it is formulated primarily for colder climate.... Do you see that happening anytime soon in South Louisiana LOL!!

Ah, kind of a clay AIO fluid--I guess that's thinking outside the bottle, or something. A scrub-and-done approach, so to speak. I'm in the same boat as you, more products than I know what to do with, and more on the way...durned sales!
 
I hate to think of the fact that one day all my products will go bad.

This is the main reason why it can't be one of those "purchase and get to it eventually kind of thing", which unfortunately got me here ;).

I had that thought--I just didn't express it...but that's ok, Swanic beats me to everything, anyway--that guy is a machine!
 
What if you keep them out of extreme temperatures and shake them now and then?

I was about to report my own self for totting so close to the gray area. It sounded fine at the time I posted it but looked a little worse when I re-read. I am serious about a trade option but if you guys feel that I stepped out of bounds, feel free to report the link. I unfortunately do not have the power to retract the publication.

I've asked that question to manufacturers before and was told that they all eventually go bad, despite all the best efforts. The liquids and solids eventually separate, and although some you can "revive", well others you just have to toss. Being that I seem to be moving towards coatings almost exclusively, I don't need the large inventory of sealants and waxes I've accumulated. It is true that environmental factors do play a role in accelerating the process, and that you can mitigate the speed of degradation by storing in temperature and humidity controlled environment, the fact is that you cannot stop the process.
 
Still looking for some feedback to see if I'm just wasting my time with eBay. If no feedback them I will have to take my chances.... but would rather benefit from the wise words of a fellow geeker that has had some experience

If you are interested in a trade I am looking for medium and fine grade Nanoskin Autoscrub mitts or similar... I will also consider chemical decon products.

Yeah, that's what I've been finding with my older stuff...unless they were always like this and I just don't remember them being this watery.
 
There's a reddit page to sell detailing supplies. Used it once to purchase something, never sell.
 
I've used ebay before. My first sale actually COST me $40.00, for a $5.00 bottle of wax sent to Hawaii... Lesson learned.
 
You can also try to post it on the meguiars forum. Might have a little more success there than on eBay. They have a section for selling.

OUTCH!!! Thanks for the heads up! I've done many sales on eBay and had a good system going but your experience makes me reconsider..... or at least will make me be extremely diligent in thinking about all possible contigencies

Cool deal! The only problem is AGO is my home so I have no rep to speak of over there :nomore:
 
You may also try Craiglist? No worry with Paypal or shipping like Ebay, just cash in hand if someone bites.
 
A lot of people don't have high post counts over there. I remember someone this week or last was selling some things. Didn't have high post count but put that he had high post count on AGO. Couldn't hurt to try.
