Looks like you bought an Optima from Ryan. Does the unit you have use a moisture control?

Hi, I did buy Optima steamers, actually two of them, but not from Ryan. I have been in contact with Ryan for spares and stuff and he seems to be a professional to deal with.

The models I bought are both DM models and yes they have moisture control and as far as I tested it works well, but I would think that more moisture is only required if the vehicle exterior is very muddy/dirty.

You can check my Youtube videos, I have uploaded the first one there and will post more in the next coming weeks and months to really show the capabilities of the Optima Steamer.

P.S. I am personally not a professional detailer, thats why I have hired professionals with 15+ years of experience to perform the actual detailing.

I feel like steam is not lubricious enough to safely remove surface grime without scratching, is there something i'm missing?

I use steam to clean cars, no scratches so far. One with moisture control would be better that a unit that just does steam.

Thank you for the welcomes and I will try to participate actively, but I think I have to put my 150% effort for the business opening in 2 weeks, got a lots of things to do.

But I promise to chime in as much as I can and I will suggest my detail technicians to participate in these forums as well and get and give education to everyone.

Thanks!!

Good luck with your new business!

May I suggest you add claybar to your services? Or maybe I just missed it? Correct me if Im wrong.

Or maybe steam gets the fallout off?

Thanks, there might be really some services we need to add, but we will go thru the list of services in the next week or two to confirm we got everything we need to have.
