I should see about getting a replacement.
The blue pad is really and every day polishing pad. The white pad is softer and is reserved for dark colors and exotic cars that are kept in very good shape all the time. If the surface is not perfectly smooth the white pad can sometimes be too soft and dry the product on the surface and leave spots. The blue pad will not scratch but has enough texture to remove the product and leave a clean surface all the time. We do notice a higher and deeper gloss on dark colors when using the white pad, but only a very discerning eye would notice.
