This question is for those who already tried both Lake Country and edge 2000 pads. Do you condsider Edge 2000 better? Longer lasting? Easier to work with? Easy to switch from pad to pad?

Worth a try? I'm currently using Lake Country pads, but to want to try something new.

Thanks in advance.

Although I haven't used the LC, my reasoning for going with the Edge was as follows.

1. No need to worry about centering the pad. The adaptor and pad do it for you.
2. Pad changes in literally 2 seconds. Push the release button in the center of the adaptor through the hole in the pad and it pops off.
3. No backing plate to ever worry about hitting the paint/panel (I'm a noob so it crossed my mind).
4. Two sided pad versus 1 sided pad= better value
5. Comparatively priced when you consider you are getting 2 pads (in one Edge pad) for a lesser price than 2 LC pads.
6. No backing plate to ever replace.

Hope that helped. :awesome:

San~man, I think you just convinced me to go that route when the pads in my Poorboys kit expire...

I have the Edge Pads, good buddy of mine is who told me to get them. Let's just say since he started using them, he's never bothered with his hook and loop/velcro pads again:D . Plus Aaron at Edge made me a custom 4" Blue and 4" Orange spot buff pads (dual sided) to try, did a little review on them months ago on detail city (can't remember if I posted it on here?).

I have the Edge 2000 pads and have been really happy with them. Highly recommend them.

Thanks, guys! Sounds like they are worth a try!:awesome:

I been happy with the Edge, except for the fine pad. I had two break up when used with the DA on 6, after only half a car each.

I had my orange pad blow apart.
I will still use only Edge pads. Great customer service. Will help you out with ANY SITUATION with the pads.

Make sure you get the new pads. The white one I had was stiff, and the new ones are softer. Aaron from Edge is replacing it at no charge.

Do you have a URL for them or a # for cust service in case mine start to breakdown pre-maturely.

I'm glad a noob like me can help out where I can...:)

I've very much enjoyed using my Edge 2K pads. I've used both LC and Meguiar's pads for years. I'm not buying any more hook and loop pads.

Funny thing happened yesterday....my blue pad blew up at about 5 on the PC.

I emailed Aaron last night, and he got back to me this morning. He of course is going to replace the pad which is a testament to the service he provides for his customers :applause:.
I read a lot about how service oriented he was when customers had problems, which is one of the reasons why I chose his pad over the others on the market. Aaron rocks :awesome:

Yea. I spoke w/him on the phone. Said he would replace it no questions asked. I told him I did not want him to replace it, if it was my fault. He said send it to him and he will give me a new one anyways. Excellent service and product. Something you do not find everyday.

I've used nothing but the E2K pads for over 3 months now on over 100 different vehicles. As you all know, I fully endorse them and their company. Aaron is a super guy and takes care of his customers.
I just can't say enough about this company's products.
Can't wait till their wash mitts come out!
