Edge 4" pads

I just talked to Aaron today and he said that they are in production, should be done soon.

Good! Haha. I keep running into instances where I say to myself, Damn, I wish I had a 4" pad!

Is this a 4" pad with Edges normal mounting system?

I have them

Aaron custom made them for me last year :D . They rock, the orange is perfect for spot buffing and the blue is so soft.

They should be ready next week.......this is what Aaron told me. They will use the same adapter as the 6" pads. I really can't wait for them! Should give the PC some real bite.

Can't wait for these, they've been on my short list for my next order!

I was lucky enough to get a pre-production set from Aaron to test out. I guess I started enough threads about "we need Edge 4" pads!!" that he wanted to shut me up. :D They are really great. It's so wonderful to switch pad sizes without swapping out the backing plate.

I spoke with Aaron on the phone a few weeks ago to give him an update on how my 4" pads were working and he said these pads will really shine on the Cyclo.

I received 2 from Aaron recently, 1 white ultrafine polishing pad and 1 green cutting pad. I have applied LPS with the white pad and the PC on setting 3-4. It makes it easy to leave a nice thin layer, and no hand cramps! I can wax the entire car in no time. The pad fits right inside a Megs #16 tin, but not quite in the PB’s Nattys tub, or the Collinite tins. I can not wait to try the cutting pad in some tight spots where the 6”ers do not fit.

Thanks to Aaron and everyone at Dedication to Detail makers of The Edge Buffing Pads.

Could you guys come out with a hand held adapter like the polishing pal for the edge 2k pads too? That way I can maintain a single set of pads for both pc and hand apps.

I actually have a proto-type hand held adapter as well. However, I don't know that Aaron has any plans to put them into production. It does work well and I'm sure if he sees there's sufficient interest in them then he will produce them.

The main reason I'm interested in the 4" ers are for the white and blue pad. I want to be able to apply LSP by PC on customer cars, but don't want the large 6" pads to absorb too much product.

Any idea on cost of the individual pads?

Any idea if there will be a 4" pad kit like the 6" pad kit?

I would hope the 4" pads will be less than the 6" pads, but who knows.

O, and of course, they should immediately be put on sale when they start being sold on AG:D

Yeh the 4" Blue pad I have that Aaron made is perfect for applying product, nice thin even layer but so much quicker then by hand (especially on suvs). I too was one of the early ones to get some pre-production pads to test last year. For whatever reason my 4" blue is extremely soft, I mean much softer then the 6" white finishing pad which is saying something considering that pad was the softest I had used (till the 4" blue). Maybe soemthing to do with the way the 4" pre-pros were cutt?
