Been using Lake County and Sonus pads but thought i'd splash out and try the Edge system, so as i'm going for the lot do you guys reccomend the standard dual action or go for the wave?
Also apart from the obvious shape whats the difference?

Cheers

The wave pads are different in they allow the heat to escape easier. Other than that it is the same foam.

So is there any real difference between the Edge and LC pads aside from the perfect centering of the Edge system?

Two sides and the convenience for switching between different pads. Quality comparisons that I have read rank them about the same.

The Edge system looks to be the choice pad system, but that quick release sticking down into the pad scares the crap out of me! How far does it stick down into the pad? Can it come in contact with the surface you are trying to perfect? What am I missing here with the design. I guess I have to see a video or "how to" for the Edge system because I'm considering purchasing. Can someone clarify how it is used for me? Thanks:cheers:

Search the DetailCity forum there was a recent thread about someone who thought that very thing happen. Edge really put together a great design.

LOL yeah I think I'm going to sell my LC pads after these come in ( I have to order them first :D )

after watching that video i REALY want thoes edge pads

o well i geuss that will be for a later date now that i have my lc pads

once they wear out i deffently will be ordering the edge pads

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been wanting to get the Edge pads for awhile, but my LC pads are still fairly new. That's why I trying to find if there is any real difference in the performance ie... Will brand A cut better than brand B with their light cutting pads, or polishings pads, etc. Or is really just about the centering?

It's about centering/switching pads which saves time (important for those making a living detailing), saving $$ when you purchase 1 edge pad cause your getting 2 versus buying 2 single sided pad. LC single sided pad $10.99 each thats =21.98 for 2 pads or 1 edge pad $17.99 and your getting 2.

Well i've ordered mine went for the full set of the normal instead of the wave so they better be good
