Okay, I hope I'm not just figuring this out, I mean I really don't know how I could have missed this, wow, anyway, after looking over the edge website I noticed that the blue pad is ranked more aggressive than the white pad, which I have been using for final polishing, mainly cause I was used to my old lc pad. My question is out of the two pads which one should I be using for final polishing, for ex. using ssr1, like I said I have been using the white pad, no problems, but maybe its just me, it is late and I'm very tired, but I hop I haven't been using the wrong pad this whole time.

im not 100% sure on all the pad colors but i know that AG gets a special color set that is different from whta edge sells everywhere else and advertises on their site. so if you bought them from AG, check AG's site for the color, not edge.

The white is for final polishing, but the blue is still fine for that. You really won't notice a difference. Though that could be b/c I use OP and OC and both finish down like a finsihing polish even with an orange or yellow cutting pad, I don't get any marring with those two products. I don't even think I've used my white pad yet. But next time around I will.

6 inch Yellow Cutting Pad
6 inch Green Medium Cutting Pad
6 inch Orange Light Cutting Pad
6 inch Blue Finishing Pad
6 inch White Ultra-fine Polishing Pad

Go by the color system on the AG site, the pad kits that AG sells has some pads that are made especially for AG. :)

E.D- your okay, white is ultra soft for some paints that are more finicky that may still have some defect in the paint....

Well I guess I wasn't loosing my mind after all. Does any one use the blue pad for final polishing or do you just skip to the white. An dwhich in your minds is the best for applying wax or sealnats. Thanks

If the paint is already pretty much defect free and I'm just trying to "jewel" the finish then I use the white pad with a finishing polish like XMT #1.

I use the blue to apply the finishing polish or wax, then the white to remove it. It works well for me. On dark colored newer cars I'll use the whit to apply and remove.

I've not even used the yellow and green ones yet not had call to, the others usually do the job for me
