I keep reading about the benefits of EDGE pads and I just don't get it. I just don't see significant time savings in flipping a pad instead of pulling one off and putting another one on. Also I would think a loaded pad would be more likely to sling polish and dry \ harden in the pad. Would it not be better to toss a pad that is getting gummed in a bucket to soak than flip it and continue using? And last of all, the DA 6.5 XL Foam Pad Kit and the Edge 2000 6in. Dura Foam Pads Kit are both $99.99 and seem to be fairly comparable so I don't see the significant cost savings. What am I missing?

1) They are of higher quality and wont bottom out by heat like LC pads
2) They are machine washable
3) They last forever
4) Two pads in one
5)Customer Support

I've been using the Edge pads for months. The polish never ever soaks through to the other side of the pad. There's a plastic disc in the middle of the pad which probably helps to prevent that. You can flip the pad over because one side is clogged or you can use the second side with a different polish. Also, because the pads are two sided each side can take the same amount of wear one velcro pad can. Therefore, they last twice as long.

The quick change system doesn't really save you time when you're staying with the same size pad. However, it does save you time when you're switching pad sizes. You could switch from 8" pads to 4" pads (coming soon) to 6" pads in a blink because there is no backing plate to change.

The biggest functional difference IMO is the automatic centering of the pad. My PC vibrates much less since I switched to Edge pads. My old velcro pads used to make the machine vibrate so much that my hands would get numb.

The biggest difference overall though is in the customer service. I've had problems with Lake Country (big velcro pad manufacturer) in the past. I've not had one problem with Edge and anytime I've heard of someone having a problem they are taken care of ASAP.

I am an avid LC pad user, and found absolutely no reason to change. They did what I wanted, cleaned up easily, and we good for many detailing sessions.

Well I got several pads and the locking device, and decided to take a gander. First the locking mechanism is a god send, as your pads no longer fling off at high PC setting. Second you have no backing plate, so corners are much more flexible. Using both sides of the pad, with a simple switch, means you are less likely to introduce minor swirling from dried polish particles. What I did not like, is the locking mechanism takes in alot of heat, and thus when you need to switch, you will burn your finger. All in all, I found it to be a great offering.

Have the Edge set and love it especially having a couple trucks. I like to use one side of the pad for one side, and then flip to the other for the other side of the vehicle. If it was gunked up with product, I just walk away and turn it on high for a couple seconds and it gets out whatever is in there. I haven't had a problem with it throwing crap everywhere when flipped.

My friend still has his LC pads, and there is a big differenc in less vibration, he has the Edge now (actually was the one who told me to get the Edge kit). If you off just a tiny bit on a velcro pad, here come the vibrations. Their top notch quality, and love the quick realease system. Excellent service as well, Aaron had sent me out two 4" custom Edge pads to try at no cost.

your products are purchased thru AG so customer service will be top notch regardless.

The 6" DA pads are use to cut ansd polish at lower speeds,,when using the pads keep that in my when you crank it up..

Im just stating my experiences to as why I think they are better. Just because you have had different experiences with these products, please dont start an argument on how our experiences vary.

WIth the custoemr support I was referring to having Edge AND AG behind the product.
