EGO LB-765 Blower

He must have a defective Ego battery. With a 4AH battery, I only use two bars, even with using turbo in the "drop forever" areas of my cars.

With a 5ah and using Turbo full time I can get around car once. Car not coated yet.

Feel like I kind of know most of the common poster's here. I meant to add text to the Dewalt blower I use but hit the wrong key. Anyway I know the Ego would blow this out of my hand!lol But It actually has been a great tool for those bad spots. Mirrors grill, window etc. I still haven't been able to figure out where/how to post? I'm usually savvy on forums but I can't find a Start thread anywhere! Any way I wanted to just introduce myself. Long time Detailer. Off and on over 35 years. And been glued to how far things have come just in the last few years! If anyone can steer me to the right area to start a thread I would greatly appreciate it:)

Welcome. To post a new thread, go into a forum such as Auto Detailing 101 and then look for a button + Post New Thread above the threads.

I have been using my EGO 765 for both detailing and gardening work. For drying a car, I still think my Big Boi does a better and more thorough job, but when I'm limited for time, the EGO is handy to just grab and go.

However, the long tube best suited to what it was actually designed for, as in blowing leaves, makes it somewhat cumbersome to use for car drying. Enter the stubby nozzle -

There are a few different companies selling stubby nozzles for leaf blowers. I wanted the one OG sell, but it's ALWAYS out of stock and I actually delayed this purchase waiting for it to become available. I was literally one day too late in attempting to place an order.

The Apex version looks more substantial, having been designed for future upgrades and attachments. In the end I couldn't wait any longer, so I settled on the Stubby Nozzle Company's version, which is a single piece 3D-Printed design and is actually shorter than the Apex unit.

The Stubby Nozzle Company also sell the BlowerBand silicone rubber protection tip from their Amazon and Ebay stores to go with the nozzle. These are available in a variety of colours, I stuck with the EGO green. This band slips onto the end of the stubby tube, offering a layer of protection between the tip and the paint. It looks good too. :D

The standard issue tube is massively long in comparison -

Can't wait to try it out!

Sure as day follows night, the Apex version will be back in stock tomorrow.

I saw the EGO 765 with battery & charger is down to 290 at the big river place.

Stubby Nozzle Co also sells direct on Etsy. They included an offer for $5 back if you post a picture of it in use on Instagram.

You will need another 2.5 battery especially if using turbo o mode. A 5 ah battery is enough for an average size vehicle.

yeah, but at that price, it's cheaper than a 2.5 ah battery alone.

I finally held a 650 and a 765 with battery attatched at lowes...im no weakling but my word those suckers are way heavier than my gas powered echo. Im not sure i want one now.

Very nice review. I too am in the market for a new leaf blower. You may have just persuaded me to purchase the EGO LB-765

On a side note. Many retailers are reducing inventory due to the fear of the upcoming recession

Ha too funny. My dad is 64 and he does not even say anything about the weight. He uses that thing more than I do.

Just check on specs. 4.6 dry and 9.65 w/battery.
Felt heavier and Lowe's. But that doesn't seem bad.
