That's perhaps one of the worst looking wrecks I've seen and to know you made it out and are still posting.....WOW! So glad that the car did it's job protecting you.

Side note though......and perhaps a funny one.....hope it's not too soon......but that is perhaps the cleanest looking wreck I've seen too. I mean the tires are still dressed and the paint...looks like a brand new car was totaled.

You'll be back to polishing soon. Rest up for now.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you're on your feet
again!! We missed you around here.

Soooooo glad to hear from you!

Wow... I just can't imagine.... :wow:

Please get better soon and I'm sure a new caddy will come your way!

Holy cow, those pictures... Man are we all glad you made it out as "well" as you did! Crazy to see a full size car balled up that hard.

I think the only scarier part of your story than this:

My accident is mostly a blur to me... It’s funny because before I went into surgery my brothers said I was able to go into great detail about how it went down, but after I woke up from a 12 day coma I didn’t remember a thing!

Is this:

Still to this day the only memory I have of the accident is seeing the woodgrain on the dash instantly pop out so fast that I thought it was going to smack me in the face upon impact... The only other thing I remember is the crowd of people trying to help pull me out of my car.

Man-o-man. From how close the Doc said you were to a broken back, glad there wasn't damage done by well intention'd folks trying to peel you out of the wreck. Not that you wanted to stay in there, but there are times you need to let the pros handle the situation (when there's risk of back/neck injury).

As others have mentioned - really glad to see you post! Hope you're gettin better by the day!

Wow! I'm glad that you're on the mend.
The Caddy did its job and sacrificed itself to save you.
I'm sure that you'll find one ever better than the last one.

I'm glad to see you are ok and up getting around,,,I wish you a speedy recovery and good vibes towards finding a new ride

It's great to hear from you Ric and it sounds like you are on the road to recovery. The convalescence is a long process but the rehab can be frustrating, yet fun at the same time. Spend some time shopping for a new Caddy and lets see some pictures.

Wow, your car really took and insane hit! Glad to see you came out of it ok.

After and accident like that, I would be shopping for a Volvo. They used to have the most imprevious cabins due to steel bars running through the doors as reinforcement against side hits. I don't know if they still have the move secure cabins or not, but that would be my number 1 criteria.

Well, i hope to keep us up to date on your car quest ;)

Glad you are the way to getting well. That is a terrible looking wreck.
Man upstairs was looking out for you. I wear St Christopher on my necklace every time I get on my Harley. I need all the help I can get with some of these drivers and their phones.
Like what was said earlier, the caddy did its job. No need for a Volvo.
Again, hope you get back to feeling your old self soon

Thanks to all you guys for replying, it really lifts my spirits to hear from everyone.

Btw, here’s some video footage of the crash scene that was posted on youtube.

YouTube

The beginning of the video is freaky because of how quiet it is, I almost didn't click on it....

My car looks real shiny @1:55
How bout that Beadmaker?lol.

See that? Ric still had the presence of mind to turn his hazard lights on alerting other drivers. ;)

But seriously, we are lucky to still have you with us, brother.

The video is even more frightening than the pics. :(

I’d contact the author of that YouTube channel and let them know you’re “looking for a new Cadillac” and see if they can help you at all, seeing as how they’re profiting off the misfortune of others.. in this case a family member of Autogeek!

Glad you’re back home and recovering and keeping in good spirits! Thanks for getting back to us Eldorado2k
