Energy drink reviews

I needed a switch from coffee and wanted to cut down on caffiene so I've been trying hot choc. with mini marshmellows of course.

At one point I was trying to get off coffee so I switched to tea. I'm hooked on Teavana tea. The only catch is...that stuff is expensive as heck!

Caffiene doesent seem to affect me anymore . Ive drank 2 cups of coffee and took 2 NO-Doz tablets and fell aslepe.

This thread cracks me up. When I was in college my daily routine was to pick up a NOS or Monster on the way to school at around 7AM, have one with lunch around 12PM, and have another on the way home around 6PM. I'm glad I didn't keep that up for too long...lol

Now I've actually tried to cut out all caffine. the only caffine I have during the day is in my tea in the morning, but that isn't much at all. I sleep a lot better now.

I've been hooked for years on diet "Rock Star". The wife and family holler at me and preach how bad it is but I love this stuff. I think I could give up my Gentleman Jack and Captain Morgan but not the rock star or diet coke.

Last Friday I tried the black label 5 hour energy drink. Around 2:30 am and was getting sleepy. It said to drink half but my friend said just drink the whole thing for full effect. I was up until 8:30am so I was up for over 24 hours that day. Came back home and crashed.

I honestly don't find myself needing water after a Redbull but thats just me. But I do notice the color of pee changes lol. I used to love the vitamin water energy drinks.

Wow...I have never had an energy drink in my life. I have pretty much cut out all caffiene from my diet except for an occasional diet soda at lunch. I am afraid that as high strung as I am that after taking one of these I would explode :)

I like to drink sobe energy drinks, and Rockstar Recovery (Lemonade) but it breaks out my face with all that sugar.

I dont know how many of you have access to it but Vegas Fuel is basically carbonated fruit punch. Absolutely delicious. However! I would have to say that my favorite energy booster is adderall (don't worry, I have a prescription)

If anyone is ever out and sees a can of Buckeye Juice give it a try...my boy is the owner of that company. It tastes pretty good.

Gary...Monster can't afford not to hire you for a commercial.

This thread reminded me of the time I fell asleep in Art History 151... I blame the post Monster crash..

There were two doctors on TV yesterday discussing how these drinks may pose a health risk to many unsuspecting users. Too much caffeine and sugar on top of other caffeine from coffee, soda and, alcohol is risky. The doctors stated that 13,000 were admitted to ERs around the country last year due to use of these drinks. They claimed new studies show it is growing in epidemic fashion around the country. Expect to see the FDA finally crack down following the NIH report.

Caffeinated Energy Drinks -- A Growing Problem

If you feel the need to use these so called energy drinks ask yourself if it is really worth the risk.

I did a research paper last year on energy drinks. It was really interesting to write about it.

Isn't there some crazy energy & alcohol drink, called Four Loko, that was causing all kinds of health issues and even killing people?

Yes. They actually banned it last year because of so many deaths. They did come out with another version that is supposedly not as dangerous. People are pretty stupid to drink it. All the caffeine and sugar want to speed your heart rate up while the alcohol wants to slow it down. Just messes with your body. I think the main reason it was so popular is because they could sell it for $2.50-$3.
