Whats up everyone.

Just wanted to share a quick post of an engine detail I did a couple months back. Just now getting around to posting the pictures.

All i used was Megs Degreaser 5:1, MF and terry cloths, an old paint brush and tooth brush and a hose set on 'shower' for starters...then set it on 'mist' to rinse the degreaser off. Then dressed with Megs HyperDressing 2:1

Heres a before:

Thats what i call a sexy engine!

With engines...even super heavy dust and light grease like this one isn't too hard to do...most of it will rise away fairly easily. The owner was funny...he was watching me spray the degreaser on and he said "I don't think thats enough, thats pretty dirty...i think you really need to lay it on there!". I told him it was a very strong degreaser and didnt need all that much...then the wind shifted and blew a whiff of it in his direction. He coughed a couple times and said "WOW that stuff really is strong!"...and went inside lol.

Needless to say he was quite impressed when he saw how it turned out :)

Heres a couple more before/afters

I think you did a spectacular job at making the engine compartment look like new...:props:

GREAT JOB!! I used to have that same car lol. does anyone use simple green for engine detailing? I never see anyone else use it. I love the stuff!

Ya was pretty bad but was a DREAM compared to the one i did last week. it had GREASEEEEEEE like whoever changed the oil/antifreeze/tranny fluid and nething else they had was blind and just slung it all over the whole engine...took 2 hours to do that damn thing! I gotta do a write up on that soon...was the worst ive EVER done.

Nice work, Wills!

Thanks man!

I used it on under carriage areas before...but changed to degreaser just cause its cheaper in the long run cause i can dilute it and buy gallons on orders...but yeah SG works pretty good :)

Great Job!!! Nice before and after shot too.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks, i try hard to get as close to EXACT before/afters as possible...makes for a more dramatic showing :)

The wind shifted or you shifted? Good job buddy!

Haha III wouldn't do that! I've done a lot of odd ball work for this guy...well mainly his wife over the past few years so i have a good rep with them. His wife is the main lady you gotta please...i was surprised when he called and wanted something done for HIMSELF...i was like wow she let you do it huh lol (well i thought that anyway :) ). They're pretty cool elderly people...so when he said i needed to lay it on there it was just kinda funny to me lol...but in the end he knew i knew what i was doin:dblthumb2:
