Engine detailing product - recommendations?

I am wondering if there is such a thing as a spray on and leave it product that will shine metal, plastic, hoses etc? After steam cleaning or power washing the engine bay, is there something you can just spray on? I used to use a product by Stoner but now can't find it anymore. Any ideas?

Did this come out good on everything -- rubber,. plastic, and metal surfaces?

I aimed only for the valve covers, hoses, and plastic surfaces, trying to avoid just spraying around the engine bay randomly. However, the nozzle on the can is meant to hit a tight area for tires, so you can keep the spray pattern pretty tight.

But yes, after spraying everything I ran the engine for 5 minutes, wiped down all the surfaces I sprayed, and that was it. No problems.

I have several cans of CD2 and am certain they will last me at least 5 years.. I only apply twice a year.

Do you remember how much you paid for it? I called several auto places but none carry it (even Advanced Auto) but did see it on-line for $8.99 a can

I think I paid about $6.00 but can't find that particular thing now.

Might try the Gliptone brand.
