Hello,

Thanks for everyone’s help. I have all the paint done and am going to do the windows. I used it sparingly so I hope everything is covered which I think it is.

I did use a machine with the gloss pads and I think that helped. Plus, my truck is a garage queen so I had a very good base to start with.

And you shouldn't notice any swirls as Essence has abrasives in it so it will remove some if not all depending on the paints hardness. It's filling capabilities are often exaggerated so don't worry too much about them.

One thing I forgot to mention that is you are using Essence by hand then a prep wipe is indeed recommended. As always refer to the CarPro site for the FAQ's of the product when in doubt.

Is using Essence by hand popular?

Not at all... That’s just what the “directions” say. You won’t find anyone doing quality work claiming to have polished even 1 panel by hand with Essence or any other modern day polish.
