I just purchased a few of these applicators mainly for their size and shape so I can evenly apply polish and wax by hand. Reading the description on the site it refers to using the dimpled side and the one pad I bought (gold) the dimpled side is gold and the other flat side is white so it seems to me to use the dimpled side. However, I read a thread about Mike Phillips using these pads and it included a pictorial. Mike seems to use the flat side and not the dimpled side according to the pictures. So you can see I am a little stumped and I do not want to use the wrong side which may give me unwanted results. Any suggestions one what side to use would be helpful.

Thanks

Gold Euro foam is for waxes. White is for polishing.

I actually bought red for applying the wax and the gold for the polish since the site shows gold can be used for very fine polish or glaze and I am going to use Meguiars Ultimate Polish which meets that description.

Now back to the question at hand, use the dimple side or not or does it matter?

Thanks

Use the side for the desired result, white for polishing, gold for jeweling/ final finish. But in general if you had an all white or all orange cutting pad it doesnt matter. The pocket side is meant to catch excess product and reuse it with your throw but both sides cut the same.
