Where do you get all these emoticons? I swear every time I see a post from you its a new one lol.

LOL I have to agree. I like FedEx because they are just faster and deliver on Saturdays :)

I've never had a problem with either of them though.

wow, for a brief second I thought Flash's Post was a limerick!! At least it started out like one...lol

Where I live both are fine. I see the UPS guy more than Fedex but overall never had a problem from them.

I dislike FedEx a lot. They pretty much never leave the package for me! It's like if I don't stand outside and meet them they won't leave the package. I'm lucky if the guy leaves a slip saying he "tried" to deliver the package. The UPS driver on the other hand, is great. Very friendly guy and knows where to leave the packages if its raining, snowing, etc. Not to say FedEx is bad in other parts of the country, just the particular driver that delivers to my house doesn't do his job.

I feel like the service you get, all depends on the driver.

I'm getting a little fed-up hearing those praises being sang by Her, seemingly non-stop.

USPS is most challenging to me lately, always asking for more money while cutting more and more services.

Still a pretty good value for Priority Mail, IMO. I sold some stuff late Thursday night, printed a label online and scheduled a pickup and hung the package on my doorknob. Mailman picked it up Friday and it was in Phoenix on Sunday, delivered Monday. For 8 bucks. And USPS furnished and delivered the packaging for free to boot.

Totally agree.

USPS is the only one ive been truly happy with. Flat Rate is a God send.

for me FedEx home is more hit and miss. They subcontract all the Home deliveries so it is some A/C repair place that moonlights as a delivery place for us. You get what you get with them and it is one step removed from the main companies professionalism in some cases.

I'll have FedEx Home deliveries that show scheduled for delivery one day and then the driver just doesn't feel like coming to my side of town so it doesn't show and when I check the tracking again it just shows rescheduled for the next day.

Not quite as bad as DHL was back when they tried US Home delivery and it was some guy in a rusted out van tossing the stuff in the wrong yard but still not great sometimes.

Yep, the post office seemed at least to be doing better back when they were cheaper. They were the no brainer alternative to UPS for some stuff but now their Priority Mail gets pretty expensive at times, especially if you want a signature or insurance.

I much prefer UPS over Fed-Ex. It's probably more the drivers, but I've had bad luck with fed-ex.

Fed-Ex leaves the package right before the stoop totally exposed to the rain and not under the eave or even close to the door. Didn't even bother to knock or ring the door bell when cars were in the driveway and he left the missed delivery note on the door. Good thing I caught him before he drove off.

Our dog actually cries at the UPS guy because he wants to see him, but barks hatefully at the Fed-Ex guy.

What do you think will happen ( ups servicewise) if USPS fails?

USPS is too big to fail because of the pension mess that would ensue; and the 574K employees that would be affected. It's way too politically charged for anyone to deal with this properly. I suspect in the next 10-years it will be somewhat privatized as well as outsourced a bit more than today. The only other approach would be to establish an innovative way to improve the supply chain that would reduce costs significantly; which would have been done already if it was feasible considering the Fedex relationship over the last decade. Back then, Fedex's supply chain was very innovative and better than United Parcel's supply chain; which does not seem to be the case today.

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww thats disappointing!!! I'm sorry Fred...I hope you reach out to someone in management after you get your package.

Has anyone ever noticed what a swirled up mess their trucks are?
If they were smart like Federal Express, they would've chosen a lighter color
