EX-P then Natty's Blue?

Hey everyone!

I just purchased a new 09 Mazda 3 Sport GT as my DD (Luxury Package, 5spd, BLACK metallic).

Anyways, when I detail her for the first time in a couple months, I was wondering if I can apply EX-P, then a couple coats of Natty's Blue on top?

Any advice is appreciated! I already have both EX-P and Natty's Blue in my arsenal...I just wanted some opinions Im the MAN

You can if you want to. Or you could do just EX-P or just Natty's. Just make sure if you do both to let the sealant cure for the specified amount of time.
 
The Nattys over the EX-P might give you a little more pop, but your durability will come from the EX-P.
 
Congrats on the new car, she looks great.

I would do two coats of EX-P, and then two coats of Natty's Blue. While sealants are typically more durable than waxes, the Natty's waxes are a blend of carnuba and polymers and should offer 3-6 months durability.
 
Beatiful car! just one quick question regarding Natty's Blue, how would you rate it regarding durability?? It's same than 476s or lower? thanks

The combination you are going with will be fine. Natty's Blue is one of my favorite waxes for dark vehicles. Make sure the sealant cures before putting down the Blue. BTW, nice wheels.

Is 12 hours enough for the sealant to cure before applying Nattys?
 
I love Nattys Blue, smells like bubble gum/cotton candy. Can't beat it for the money.

It really depends on the climate. It will generally take longer for sealants to cure in warmer or more humid climates (Like Florida!), but 12 hours should be enough. If you're living in a cooler climate, you can probably get away with waiting 8 hours.
 
I agree for the money Natty blue is great. Really works well on black paint
 
on the black sonoma that i did, i put a coat of ex-p on it first, then a few days later i put a coat of nattys blue on it....wow, it was a huge improvement. the pictures in the thread is of ex-p only, but the nattys blue added some more depth
 
IMO the 476 is more durable than Nattys, might not have the pop you are looking for.

I always hear that Collinite waxes are super durable, but not very good looking. That's probably why I have never tried it.
 
EX-P + Natty's Blue = Instant Chick Magnet.

I disagree with the latter. 476s on it's own:

I say you go with XMT 180... that stuff right there will make your flakes go crazy!! But for even better shine, you should think about polishing at least with 106ff first.
