im sure autogeek has been following much of my work on instagram (XSXVHouston) and facebook! Here's the write up.

This is part of our "Signature" Nano-Coating Package. Semi-permanent coatings that are applied on your flawless finish, make it more scratch resistant, water resistant, and helps you keep that shine.

For this car i opted for C. Quartz, why? Simple no other coating on the market advertises their coating is suitable for glass. C.Quartz is said by the manufacturers to last up to 2 years. Well... under my professional care the coating has lasted over 3.

Pick up! I was amazed how well this car rode being this low. Great air ride system.

Overall a great finish with lots of potential

So mineral build up, but it wasnt there long enough to do any damage to the paint.

Initial inspection at the shop. Light swirling. Lacks luster.

Engine looks great coming from JTran studios. No grease, excessive oil or finger prints. This really shows the great care that went into building this motor. The plastics needs major conditioning and a good show prep. Even at this level, there will be about 2 hours of detailing put into this engine

NOW WE BEGIN! After driving it through hot Houston weather, I allowed the car to cool down as much as possible before we got started. Lower temps allow more consistent results.

The finish on the wheels make it very vulnerable to being damaged by strong cleaning agents. So to protect it we taped it up in a way that the car can still be moved if necessary. These wheels were clean enough to do by hand later on.

Now outside for an initial wash. Heavy enzyme decontamination with our foam cannon then a quick wash to remove all excess dirt.

Not much protection left after a few minutes of soaking.

Now back inside for further decontamination. The cool temps allow us to leave soap on the car longer without worrying about damaging the paint. Physical decon continues with a polymer clay bar treatment, rinse, re-foam with Iron X soap to dissolve any embedded iron form hot brake dust, then a R.O. wash. TarX is used on spat areas as well.

More aggressive clay for more heavily contaminated areas.

Micah conditioning the engine while I wrap up the exterior decontamination. The engine is still slightly warm while we do this, this helps the water evaporate out of our WATER BASED dressings and only leaves behind a non-greasy, high gloss finish.

All taped up for some major correction.

After we finished, all the tape is pulled off for an alcohol wipe down before applying the coating.

Simple car wash to test the hydrophobic abilities of the coating.

The first car wash is always the most important to prevent scratching.

Follow up appointments are included in our Signature Coating Packages.

Here's a short clip of the water beading before we washed it. Unlike many detailing videos out there, we slow down the video, not speed it up (not going to point fingers :nomore:). You can clearly see how water gathers and beads off.

All the coatings have had almost an entire week to set up on the paint before prepping it for HIN! Being indoors keeps the car cool to keep wax solid on the paint.

We start with a quick rinseless wash to remove light dust from the drive here.

Body heat melts the wax, apply by patting the paint to avoid scratching it.

1378123_677361795610222_105354829_n.jpg

Using a machine to spread the wax using a foam pad ensures even coverage, without scratching the car. We remove the wax using cold distilled water and super fine microfiber.

OP, I certainly have been following your work on FaceSpace and Instogram for sure;-)

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

Six minutes into the show, 600 kids have smeared their grubby little paws all over finish looking like it has been through the Baja 1000! Looks awesome though, good job.

I'm very impressed. True detailing at it's best. I liked your FB page and will be following. Keep up the good work.

My favorite color on the BRZ for sure!

I do appreciate the sharing of the technique and the reasoning. Great addition to the knowledge base of the site. What may be routine and common sense to some may be a major light bulb moment for others

Great work!

Very nice!! Looks awesome and loved the details in the write-up!!
