But I would be great to test, and I will :D hmm, I think the bag was to small :p Maybe your head would have fited :D I got all of the details in my head! ;) What kind of lift? Can`t remember :p But it was 11 years old, but worked great! Got the get me one..

I have one teaser word of one important thing I have learned: Air, lot of AIR ;)

A device that blows air? :p

Sure thing :p But dident mean it that way, you will see ;)

Take your time as I want details, details, details and more details...all the way down to the number of people to the class to the color if shirt the instructor was wearing hahaha just teasing pirex. The big "review"

OKey guys! Finally I have time to do the "review" of the class I have been to. It has been a busy week! Tomorrow I am going to look at a possible locatoin for my detailing firm! Im the MANBut, let get over to what you have waited for  Me and a friend went to the class!

I will write the review like a day for day writeup: Let get to the case ;)

Day 1, wednesday (Traveling day)

We started from Levanger (were I live) at 09.00 AM, the target was sarpsborg, 660 KM south. We drove the Audi A6, with diesel. Also had a trailer with me, because my gf was picking up a scooter ;) (You said details, Nica) :p Anyway. The trip went nice, offcourse because I drove :D We arrived in sarpsborg 17.00 PM. Went to find the location of the class, and then got checked in to the hotel! The same weekend it was "gatebil" in sarpsborg, its a big car show! One of the biggest in Europe. So many nice chicks to see on the hotel :p Glad my GF stayed at her familys house

Here are some pictures from the trip and the location:

Day 2 (First day of class)

I woke up at 06.45 AM, and was so excited to get to the class. But first me and my mate went down for some breakfast! Egg, bacon, scrambledeggs, toast ++ You name it, I will eat it :p Great! So a round on the toilet, then we drove up to the class. Took about 45 min from the hotel. It was only me, my friend and 1 more on the class! And thats great! Mutch easyer to ask questions etc. He was a real beginner, and had some things to learn. But thats allowed ;) hehe.

The "teacher" was great! What a down to earth man! He has been doing this for 13 years, and before that he was a painter for 8 years! Car painter that is ;) So he had a clue :p

We started the day with some "facts" about detailing, and about autoglyms products. I have a list with products I am going to buy :D Many great things! Exempel a plastic conditioner that you can put on mats, and they don`t get slippy ;) Great to have.

After that we went out for lunch, he payed :D Great huh? :p The rest of the day we spent on washing the car we were going to detail. And learned about washing teknicks etc. Learned some great things here. How to was door jams with pressure washer, I know..everybody knows :p Deagreser on the car, engine wash etc. Nothing you guys don`t know! That was day 2.

Day 3 (Last day in class)

This was the greatest day :D We started the day with the interior on the Audi A3. I learned many things this day! One thing you have to have when detailing is AIR, a aircompressor! He used it everywere, in the interior, doorjams, extrior etc. When washing the interior, he used the air to get crap out of hard to get areas, cracks in the dashboard etc. Then just vaccum it! I am getting a compressor! Can`t do a interior without it! Does the work mutch easyer! I recon I can save about 1.5 houers on each detail after this class! Thats money saved!! In airvents he puted a polishing cloth over, and used the air to get it in the vents, guess what..CLEAN!! His goal was to get the car looking like new! Not to get the dashboard and everything shiny etc. With armor all grease all over. He took 80 dollar extra if it was that kind of grease on the dashboard. The interior came out SOOOOOOOO great! I was stunned! It looked like new! First he used "autoglym interior cleaner" sprayed that on everything, then used a swamp to clean it up, then water so dried with a microfiber cloth. Looked like NEW!! SWEET. On the seats he used Autoglym interior shampoo, scrubed it in with a microfiber clotch, then water, then vaccum. LIKE NEW!! I just went crazy :p

In the doorjams etc, he polished them with "super sheen" another autoglym product. Just sprayed on, and polished off. They looked stunning!! And so nice to touch. I loved it again! And he had a sweet brush to remove dog hair! I will buy one! Worked great! I just smiled :D

On the polishing etc it was not mutch to teach, Same as we do! Use water to get the last polish out of the pads! One thing I will do from today. Oh, and to clean the pads etc, use a sandpaper! Hold it against the pad when it spinns on the machine. Worked like a sharm. Gets used pads looking new again! sweet :D

Next was wetsanding, used a round paper, placed on a round thing, to have in the hand. And just one way sanding. Not move it back and forward. Just forward over and over! Worked great! Guess who will wetsand now :D

Best trick of the day? Fixing scrates in tail lights! Deep scratches that is ;) He used autoglym METAL POLISH  First wetsand the one area, then metal polish with hand on the light, then go over with a compund! It looked like new!! SWEET!! Money money!! I loved to learn that one :D

We learned many tricks on the products, when to use what and mixing etc..but no need to tell about that. I guess that was that. I have more to tell, but can`t remember everything right now, but will came back to it when I remember it :p

The class was SUPER GREAT! I loved it! I could be there a week just to teach more. He was a great detailer! Well worth the money. Also got tips on how to treath the customers etc. How to earn the big bucks ;) That was what I remembered, I will come back with more. Hope you guys liked it, thanks! (Nica, I hope it was enough details) ;)

WOW...looks like you had a grand time..and learned alot....it great people like you take the time to learn the ins and outs of car care....the little tricks come in handy when your in a spot.....

Your review of your experience was very good and detailed....glad you had a good time...

I hope your venture in going into buisness is as good as your learning venture...

Good Luck

Al

Wow! Awesome write-up and nice pictures! You were very detailed, even to let us know that you went to the toilet after breakfast! :D Glad you had a great time there. Took plenty of notes, I hope!
Interesting stuff about wet-sanding. Also metal polish for the taillights? Did he use an extractor or just a wet/dry vac to vacuum up after washing the interior carpet and seats?
BTW, the car looks great too! Thanks for taking the time to post this!

Very nice review pirex, I loved all the details...not sure about the one of you going to the toylet hahaha :p but I did ask for details hahahaha.

The instructor has a very nice set up there, very nice in deed. I like that lift, it makes detailing so easy to do...mmm...maybe it's time I open the deeper poket ;) mmmm....well we will see.

Question, did the instructor use a paint gauge? If so which one?

I'd be curious to see what your thoughts are ont he products, keep us posted on what your thoughts are on those products...well hopefully it's okay with AG for you to post your thoughts on the products....don't want to see you get in trouble.

Sounds like a very nice experiance pirex, looks like money well spent...oh I love how he has the pads on that bin all stacked up ready to dispence the pads :righton: very nice.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiance bro.

very nice,:)
Me too would like to know about the products, is it anything like the consumer line? cause it is only 2-3 of them I liked..

Thanks for the compliments guys ;)

Al-53: I had a great time!! :D Thanks, means a lot hearing that! I belive its important to learn as mutch as possible! Get to know detailing!! From washing to wax! Thanks again Al!!

alban61: Its important to be detailed, like Nica always tells us :D I have all of the notes in my head, remember everything ;) yeah, metal polish on the lights, sick huh? But it worked like a sharm :D On the seats he just used a wet/dry vaccum, because it was not deep cleaning. When he does that, he use a extractor! We used the extractor on the floor etc. Good that you liked it :D Thanks alban :)

Nica:

I want details, you get details :p Oh, he used a blue autoglym t-shirt by the way :D I am getting a lift when I find a place to be. And it will be soon. So come on, lets be lift and metabo buddys Im the MANHe dident use a paint gauge, but he have used it some times before. But he has been painting cars for about 8 years, so he knows everything about paint etc! So he can see if a car is repainted etc. Wanna give me a hint on pm were you got your gauge? ;)

I have many thoughts on autoglym I would love to let you know, but I don`t thing AG would like that right know. Send me a pm, and I will tell you everything ;) Even some secrets :p

Money well spend is a fact, I had a blast :D I liked the bin to, guess who is ordering one? :p Uh, one tip. He washed all of his pads in a washer, with ordinary washing powder. Worked great.. ;)

Just glad to share buddy :D

Tandis: It was great :D Can`t compare it to the consumer line..not at all!

Pirex, thanks for the write up! It was a good read. Very interesting and helpful, and the air compressor technique makes sense :D. I want to go to a class like that someday.
