My exhaust tips were pretty damn beat, caked on carbon and other ****, took them off and went at 'em. First, i rubbed polishing compound on the inside of the tip and using a polishing wheel for my dremel and took off all of the brown/black stuff. Last, i used some Blue Magic metal polish and hand applied it there and outside. I didnt get any pics of the outside, but theyre pretty much flawless.

I just spent about 3 hours on mine and I still couldn't get all the cr@p off of them. I used a Dremmel on them as well.

I tried Jeweler's rouge for hard metals and also tried NXT Metal polish. You wouldn't believe the chemicals I used to try to remove the deposits. Nothing worked well.

try sanding it with multiple grits.

Either by hand, or via the dremel which I recommend. Maybe start off with a low double-digit grit and slowly work your way up to 400, where u can start sanding wet.

refinishing it essentially.
