how do you guys clean the exhaust tips on cars? what process and what products would be very helpful! thanks!

APC and microfiber towels and brushes. Tried out Nevr-Dull and going to try out P21S polishing soap next.

Car wash soap and water followed by a metal polish. Collinite metal wax is great on tips.

P21s polishing soap then whatever sealant that is within reach. I don't keep a dedicated wax or sealant for a little bit of chrome. Cleaner yes.

If they are really trashed #0000 steel wool and any old rubbing compound will bring them back. Then polish out by hand with compound works wonders on stainless steel tips

#0000 Steel Wool with Optimum Metal Polish, followed by OMP and a cheap microfiber "shoeshine style"

okay I'll have to give some of those a try! thanks!

#0000 Steel Wool at any hardware store, Wal-Mart or large grocery store

If you don't have any #0000 steel wool, you can use 1000 grit sandpaper which, according to 3M, is equivalent. Used some last week on some Impreza tailpipes that define the word "trashed".

Steel wool won't put scratches in chrome? I always use Meg's Metal polish. APC for touch ups.

Home Depot carries a bag of steel wool different abrasives as well.

Sent with my Note 2, from Planet Namek.

Just stick with a solid polish like P21S Polishing Soap.
