How often do you clean them to keep them looking so good?
Are you using a wax or coating on them after you polish them out?

I installed that exhaust system on my car in October and March 15th was the first time I have cleaned them.
The car is a DD and I have a heavy foot quite often running it up to 7K RPM so the car gets driven as a sports car longs to be driven.
After cleaning them I tested out a wax on them but it didn't last more than a few days. Right now, and from the day I purchased the system, the exhaust tips sit uncoated. I don't know if Borla puts anything on the exhaust tips other than a light oil. They are stainless steel so they don't require upkeep to stay looking nice.
Just sit down with a rag and some metal polish and about 10 minutes of my time and they clean right up. An APC might even do the trick if their not too dirty and if I clean them each time I wash the car.

One of the AG guys (maybe it was Nick) suggested brass wool (instead of steel) if it's needed. I assume that wouldn't scratch as much?

Best not to assume...
A "test spot", in the most inconspicuous area as possible, should reveal any scratching potential of brass-wool (or is it bronze-wool?) to the subject material.

Bronze wool will be softer than steel wool but both are still significantly more coarse than using a polish.
Is there a need to get that aggressive when cleaning your exhaust tips?
Does a metal polish not work?

Here's what I did to mine over the past couple weekends. I only did the outside part of the tips and not the enter
This is what the passenger side started out as.
I had purchased the Meguiar's DUB metal polish and did a quick polish. This is how it came out.
This past weekend I used some 0000 steel woll to remove the built up gunk on the inside. Followed that up with the DUB metal polish. This is the result.

Here are before pics. No after yet. It's raining and at work. Top is shiny, bottom is the tough gunk I'm talking about.
Those exhaust tips don't look that bad at all. You should easily get that cleaned up without any steel or bronze wool needed at all.
A little metal polish and those will be clean as new!
You might even be able to clean those with a rag and some APC
Did you see the picture of my exhaust tips? Mine were dirty and cleaned up nicely with just a dab of polish

Still haven't made it to find p21 but tried a rag and a little metal polish and this is how they sit. They are ok but still a little black and definitely dull where the black was. Not terrible but not satisfied so going to get some of the recommended products. Inside seemed to not change at all

I haven't tried to polish the exhaust tips on the wife's Pilot yet, and that's the first vehicle I've had with them. I have Mothers Chrome Polish so I'll be using that along with CG's AllClean+ first. If I do use the bronze wool (when I get around to polishing), I don't see the need to use on the outside of the tips, just the inside....maybe.
