Expensive waxes

Maybe $250. The way I look at it is I spend a lot of time detailing and I like to have nice stuff to do so. The reality of it is, that's really not a lot to spend on a hobby I spend so much time on. I guess it depends on you financial situation and obligations also.

Turtle Wax. Only $3.99

Nothing like green looking turtle poo wax. You guys have nothing on me.

From what I have seen about Zymol Glasur, it looks like one hell of a products. The Sheeting from it is incredible! I have to get some but $101 for a pot seems like a lot to me considering my other hobbies...

would i get mega flamed if i said i got project J97 paste wax?

:D

 Just what I want to do is hunt for the allen key to get the lid off! Don't forget you get the special "machined" pot specifically designed for J97. Chemical guys really went overboard with this product

After $69.99 how much better can a wax really get and imo you're just paying for the name hype etc at that point
Granted I'm putting my money where my mouth is and I'm testing a lot of waxes, varying price ranges, etc

*cough*Dodofan*cough*

Sonic you gave me a great idea. I'm gonna get my waxes signed by PJ !

Tapatalking

lol that would be cool ^
also with you being lim3 i've decided you need lime prime, I'm probably going to pick it up on my next order and see if it can correct the minor defects I've accumulated over the year

I'm not sure what I would pay. I've never paid more than $50 but I hope to try Fuzion some day amongst other items from boutique manufacturers. You can get some really nice waxes for the price of a driver or putter! (Or a dozen ProV1's!)

For me, I detail for my peace of mind and like my cars protected well. Rather than spending big bucks on waxes I wait until they go on sale and get the mini version ie Fuzion and Souvern to test. Since I'm only doing my cars they'll last a long time. I also get free samples of other stuff at the time. So when I find my favorite, I'll stick to that. But the problem is... there's so many lol. I'll never spend over 100 on a wax/sealant when a $40 will do just as good a job if not better. Remember its all in the preparation!

Couldnt agree with you more. Im waiting for Fuzion to go on sale again for $99. Not interested in the wax itself, more interested in the cool box so I can put on display :D

Most I've spent is ~$40 for my chemical guys petes 53. However I've gotten great results with some otc waxes. Meguiars ultimate wax being one of them. I also really enjoy the D301 finishing wax even though it's not the most durable. I'm a firm believer in that you dont have to pay tons of money on a wax to get stellar looks.

Fuzion is my most expensive. Got it in the VIP package deal in August. Great stuff!
Next most expensive is Blackfire Midnight Sun- got that on sale in a package deal.

No overboard is cg kore. It's sold overseas, but not here yet. The case is cooler than the j97 case.

zymol glasur is my most expensive wax. My girlfriend got it for me when I bought my car. But I've only used it once. I usually use a sealant or blacklight with 5050 and v7. My car is white and while it can get nice and shiny, it will never have the depth like black or dark colored cars so I don't see any point in spending a lot on waxes for my car.
