Expert advice needed

Thanks!!! Really appreciate it no w I know which products to not even bother researching for a whole night lol. So I came across a pressure washer at Lowes for $100 its the greenworks 1600 psi 1.2 gpm electric pressure washer can't really find anything bad about it. Any thoughts on this unit?

I started off with a greenworks and from day one I wanted to upgrade. It worked but the hose was cheap and easy to kink. I'm not sure how long it would have lasted since my trailer got broke into and they took it. I had a job lined up so I went back to Lowes and got a Briggs and Stratton which turned out to be a huge POS.
I have now moved on to a Karcher and love it. It is $100-$150 more than the greenworks but well worth it in my opinion.

Something I overlooked up until recently was a steamer. Since getting it, I have continuously found more uses for it. It's one of my more frequently used tools. I wasn't sure about it so I went cheap and got the McCulloch MC1385. I can't imagine needing more than what it's capable of.

Much appreciated info. I was looking and realized Lowes has a 30 return policy so I may just get it with an 2 year replacement plan and within the 30 days put it to the test to see if I'm going to be happy with it and if not I'll return it

The lime green pressure washer hoses at menards are easy to work with

Kirkland brand premium microfibers- I have never had an issue with these towels, even on soft jet black paint. It's better to buy a lot of affordable MFs and just throw them out when they've become soiled IMO.

HD Speed- Incredible AIO; lots of cut, great finish, offers some protection but should be topped, 99% dust free and can also be used to polish exhaust tips

DI brand horse hair brush- Great for seats, interior plastics and vinyl, carpets. Very safe and effective.

Rupes 21- If you're getting into correction work, especially on hard clear coats this is a huge must-have. $400 is nothing when you consider it'll cut your polishing time down to a third or half of what it was with a PC or GG6.

Meguiar's detailer line- D156, D120, M205, 100 & 101 - All are great and affordable. M205 also doubles as a compound when used with MF pads and the Kevin Brown Method (KMB).

Optiseal- Extremely quick and easy to use, provides a very high gloss and doesn't darken paint or mute metallics, also very cost effective.

What I do is I part,I will get my polishes and pads from the geek, then the rest from a commercial detailing supply company.

Simple green and Meg's apc is good for the weekender, but not good for the guy that does this for a living,I don't ever ever want to waste time with agitation,I spray and rinse done and over, same with wheel cleaners I've used simple green when I run out of my apc it's good for a fairly clean car other than that it's a water down useless apc and very very bad for you to inhale it has some chemical in it that's really bad, google it and see.

Green works will last you a month,I had 2 of them the first one made some weird noise and weak psi, returned it got another one the inside was leaking water,I threw it in the garbage and bought a Honda .

You're profit will be zero if you buy all these fancy labeled products.

If you do get Costco MF towels, their only use for me in on interiors and glass. Once you get into it more, you can purchase glass specific Towels if it floats your boat.

Also check in with advance auto constantly. They carry Griots products and sometimes have rock bottom prices. 2 years ago I got their 15.99 wheel cleaner for 2.50 each. I bought all 24 bottles they had in stock.

A lot of good advice here from everyone

Eventually you will want some pricier items to make your detailing more convenient for you and stronger results than you have starting off. Good luck!

Yeah there we go, I'm wanting more people to chime in like this. Dirt cheap but also works well! Thank you for chiming in

I personally get all my polishes pads and waxes thru autogeek, everything else I get from a commercial detailing supply, like Ardex,Malco automagic carbrite etc because I'm in the detailing business and trying to keep cost down when doing volume work such as corrections and production detailing.
